* A little History...

We will soon be single largest non-scam merch clan in RuneScape. Profit Now was founded by a handful of players in February of 2010 with the dream of building a merch clan where the leaders didn't scam their members.

Since then we've grown and we will soon more buying power than any other merch clan in RuneScape. We will do this with integrity and honesty. Most importantly we plan never to scam a dime of our money. After all, what other clan has bank video's showing 10B+ and drop partys (soon) of over 100M!

* Description of how we work...

We use the Grand Exchange systems to our advantage by manipulating the prices of large volume items in order to make profit. Grand exchange market prices are based on average trade price throughout the previous buying period. When many players offer max price for the same item, its price rises.

We pick items based on a list of requirements. All items have advantages and disadvantages. We generally choose items that have high in-game volume (there are lots of them), can't be produced for a large profit, and have a good demand from players even at an inflated price.

Elites choose items and begin slowly stocking (over a period of weeks) without raising the price. We then share (usually all) of our stock to ranks based on how many "activity points" they have received from advertising and answering questions (sharing takes place after item announcement to public). Shares turn out to be quite small (we have 100 ranks and only 10 Elite Members). By eliminating a significant portion of the game volume before raising the price we are making it much easier to manipulate the price of the item.

Ranks go through item checks (involving screen shots and "secret items" to be included in them which are announced at the last minute, to stop photo shopping) about every 3 days and again after the merch is over. The final item checks will always be posted in these forums.

We announce our new items on these forums first, and then (a few hours later) in the clan channels (Profit Now, and soon to be opened Profit Now2). The price then begins raising by about 4-5% per day. We also set a dump price for our items which acts as our target price. Dump prices are based on what we think is reasonable based on the supply of the item.

When the item "peaks" (a point at which it crashes to min price, indicating that the merch must end) we announce in forums and the cc (at the same time) that the item should be dumped. The item can be sold via the GE or in trade.


* Description of the risks...

Ranks never sell before the merch is totally over (we use a much more profitable method of selling called junk trading), however this does not mean that our items automatically reach the dump price. There are still players who decide to sacrifice some profit for the ease of selling early. This is why items don't always reach the target price, despite the best efforts from ranks to push the merch to its final goal. The end of a merch can be a little difficult to predict, and if you only start buying very late in the merch is is possible that you will lose money if the merch ends suddenly (when the item crashes to min price the merch is over).

After a merch is over it can take a long time to sell the clan item in the Grand Exchange. For large stocks (50m-100m+) it can take too long, and some trading skill might be required to sell stocks after the merch. Regardless of your wealth we strongly recommend learning the art of junk trading as it is an essential skill that any merchant needs to learn sooner or later.


* Description of the profits...

Clan merchanting with a reliable clan like Profit Now (the largest reliable clan) can be extremely profitable. It is normally possible to double your wealth every merch (up to a point where the profits become linear rather than exponential). This means that you could turn 10m into 100m in under 2 months.

Most merch clans say they won't manipulate the other merchers/prices, but they end up doing it anyways for their own advantage.

 

Exactly, all they have to do after they dump their items early, is blame the other merchers :'(

 

How do you guys exactly merch?
Do you flip items?

 

This clan is legit, its the only one I use. My 1b+ banks on 2 accounts speak for themselves. Im not gonna say to join or whatever though as it would be considered advertising so just a heads up if you were thinking about it.

Second Picture with the inventory looks weird... Some items look too close to each other like the Easter Ring.

I know I invested 400m... Plus I have been flip merchanting for 2 weeks + using LB's ranked guides.

 

Is it realy worth going into, if your not going to buy ranks?

 

I Surely will recommend it to few buds of mine.

 

So far I've made around 100mil from the merch. Invested about 200mil to make that. I also learnt how to flip and been making a few million a day just updating ge. Second merch started today and I'm hoping to make alot more this time( I didnt invest everything last merch).

As far as buying ranks, I'm ranked and I didn't buy anything, I simply filled out an application, and got accepted.

Even IF we did dump items on low ranks (which we do not). I have a Free Junk Buying Service. So far bought 6m worth of junk, and priority always goes to clan members. So I'd buy the junk off your account asap.
