Girl hangs herself

Why didn't her parents move her schools? I haven't listened much to the newscasts that have talked about it, but it's been on the tv when I'm around. If memory serves me right, they had talked to the Superintendent, or someone high up, and asked that something be done. When it was pretty obvious it wasn't being handled by the school system properly, why the hell didn't the parents switch schools? It's kind of stupid on their part, but who knows. I'm not a parent yet so maybe there's some other factors that go into it, but that's just my view on it.

 

If it happens outside of school, the school can't do anything about it. From what i understand, some of it was happening during school. But if you "stopped" it during school, it would still happen.

 

Yeah that's pretty funny how that works because to be honest, look at all the schools punishing kids for posting partying pictures on facebook and getting in fights out of school, and getting suspended. There have been kids starting groups about teachers and other students on facebook who got suspended. Seems like schools just want to get invovled when they damn well please.

 

If it will influence the learning environment then of course they will step in. But some child getting harassed at home has nothing to do with the learning environment at school until it starts happening at school.

 

It's not like God ever shows him/her/itself, if there even is one. For all you know those students could have been God and were "testing" her faith. Thats what you religious type believe in right...God's tests and what not.

 

From what I read, she didn't do anything to stop it, she didn't brush the comments off her, and she never stood up for herself. But the people never stopped. Both the victim and the bullies are fucking idiots.

 

To be honest, If I was going to do something like that I'd take the people resonsible out of this world too. I just feel sorry for the people she new, and relatives.

 

What? How didn't it influence the learning environment? It was the students at her school harassing her and bullying her. It wasn't her parents. Whether the studends harassed her in / out of school, for 5 days out of the week she spent 8 hours with those same kids in the same school. I'd say seeing those kids around school and the interaction they had with her probably influenced her a little bit. I mean, it did drive her to suicide.

 

But if i go and egg someones house, call them racial slurs, etc, the school won't give a rats ass unless they see me doing it during school. Its not like the school is the government and can dictate what students do out of their grasps. They(children) do have parents.

 

So then why do they take action against the other stuff I previously mentioned? There's students who get suspended for fighting off school hours and off school property, and it's basically the same thing. And it's not like all of the bullying went on off school property, I'm sure there was some that went on at the school.

Either way, that's my point. The parents could also take some of the blame. Once the school made it obvious they weren't going to do anything about it, why didn't the parents take matters into their own hands.

 

That's pretty brutal. You're right, high school is a cruel place. (even tho i'm in junior high)

It's a shame, especially for girls. Punch a dude in the face after he bullies you he respects you. Girls, whole different story.. shit never ends.

A lot of bullies underestimate and continue to taunt and bully you because you don't defend yourself. When someone finally becomes impatient and gives the bully a good one to the face that bully cowers. Didn't realize the pussy would finally crack you and defend themself. So they back down.

 

Bullies bully people for attention and to look cool. In their heads, they have to be superior to someone to be accepted, and if someone hit them, they'd probably get embarrassed and pissed off and do something about it. Or else they'll have the rep of "getting punked". Hitting one of them would probably have caused more problems than it'd solve.
