Smoking Weed 4 days before Surgery?

On Wednesday the 14th at 7am I will be going under general anesthetic for about 2 hours to undergo a Tonsillectomy (Tonsil's removed), and a Bilateral Endoscopic Turbinoplasty (The inside ridges of my nostrils operated on, and cartilage ground away/flattened)- This is 4 days, and 5 nights from now.

Tonight is the birthday of one of my best friends, and I promised him a few months back that I'd get high with him... and believe me I don't make a habit of smoking weed, I have only done it around 5 times in my lifetime.

My question is, how safe is it to smoke Marijuana before undergoing an operation? And is 4 days enough time for any bad effects to get out of my system?

The reason I'm posting here is because I'm hoping to get some educated opinions on the matter... so please help me out here.
Anyhow, I've put all the important information in bold, any kind of help would be appreciated.

 

Smoking weed wont come with any worse effects than smoking cigarettes would, and the surgeon wouldn't expect you to stop smoking just for a surgery. Don't worry too much about it, I can't see anything going wrong.

I just had some small doubts at first... and of course, I don't think anybody would want their doctor or their parents finding out that they've been smoking illegal narcotics haha.

It's only in the 12-24hour region that you shouldn't be smoking/drinking/eating certain products.
