End of Mage Pures?

Hello Sythe, I have returned to Runescape to experiment with botting, and I haven't played much since 2007.

Anyways, who misses transferring 500k cash to their noob level 3 mage pure and pking noobs until they go over level 59 mage? I loved triple teaming with mage pures and killing noobs in the old days. Nowadays, it takes awhile to make 500k on f2p worlds and no one wants to make a pure and then dump it. All I see today are hybrids, rushers, and strength pures. That's not much variety. It was really fun and enjoyable back then but compared to now, it's uber crap. :love:

 

Get a good mining bot like kMiner, and you can make 500k in 1 day (2 days if you're slow) on a new character mining iron in rimmington. However, you can only PK if you are level 20 combat or higher, so low-level mage pures are kind of ruined.

 

Yeah, you see why everyone says pking sucks now. Everyone is a pure or high level main and most just rush.

 

well tbh thats dejavu i was just thinking about that i remeber i had a lvl 126 back then had mills i made like a new mage pure got like firebolt on it and went to pking and i was killing everyone and i was getting respect and people would team with me and then i would get like 50 mage or so and make a new 1 and continue the process i would pk rune pures and sht

 

Yeah... I remember making level 3's straight of tut island and going to hillys with my mates and just owning the crap out of looters and gaining mage... it was epic fun and I agree it's dieing and having to be level 20 sucks.

My friend from school and I went in risking like 10k in 5th grade, so much fun, and we thought it was so risky :laugh:
We doubled-teamed a guy with full rune and almost killed him, it was so intense at the time

 

At first I was really confused how someone lower-level than me could hit higher than me Lol, it was fun. Then I learnt about pures. <3
I miss the good ol' days though, everything was so simple and enjoyable.

 

To be honest there is as much if not even more variety as before...
Mage pures can still be used effectively at low lvls and it's an important factor in pking at higher lvl too, mostly because of the new mage updates.

Also against you argument about pkers nowadays; There are rushers but there has always been rushers. There are hybrids but isn't that variety? There are less strength pures than there has been before.

Pking using mage pures were so fun back then. :L

 

You just don't understand how vividly I remember these days and how much I wish they were back.

Creating a fresh level 3 straight off tutorial island and drop trading 300k to it in an attempt to make a low level pure which I could have fun with!

That attempt was always fulfilled however nowadays you must spend days making the money and then even when PKing, unless you want to lose money you have to wait for 'EP' and 'Targets' - like, what the hell?

 

I remember that also.
Right of tut island buy runes and go pking hitting the strenght pure few times and they died LOL. it was so fun.
Anyway its not that difficult to make/bot 500k in f2p.
just cut oaks untill lvl 55 woodcutting (1day) and you have like 5k oaks which is almost worth 500k. it took my like 1 day botting. so if you run like 5 accounts cutting oaks you can make a few mage pures just in 1 day

Yea I loved having 11 mage and firebolting hitting 9's they couldn't eat fast enough, then id scrap it n make another acc.

 

anyone here every play rsc and had a level 4 mage pure 100 fatigue i think it was 5 magic . lmao then use mind bomb for magic boost to kill level 3s for rares. i had to pk atleast 5 santas and 2 hats back in the days lol. hitting 4s with magic

 

Yeah i used to team with 3 of my irl mates and fire strike people at varrock multi rofl, good times.

What I really miss was before the old wild got the wilderness ditch. So much fucking fun. But I still miss the old wild second.
