How do you stop the Taliban?

Resolution: How do you stop the Taliban? What kind of plan do you implement to stop the Taliban regime and their extremist teachings? How do you stop them from shutting down schools?

 

The only reasonable solution is war i guess. There is no talking with that kind of people.

 

It's very hard to negotiate with Religious ones. Some hate us for political reasons, which may be negotiable, but many others fight a "holy war", which they are fighting for their god. It's going to be difficult since most of them were raised that way since birth.

 

You appeal to the citizens and get them to hate the Taliban.

 

If you look and understand the mentality of these people and the teachings of Islam, it states that a son of Muhammed should not be afraid of death.

Imo, you cant really stop people who aren't scared of death.

Well you see, the Taliban are just people who are fighting for there religion, the only way we can stop this is to negotiate or to fight.

I'm no expert, but for starters I think America should stop creating new terrorists by occupying countries and killing civilians.

 

Yeah, I think America needs to find a new approach, and experiments need to be conducted. Although I would understand this would be difficult, but fighting only causes more fighting and hatred.

I know nothing about handling a war, but maybe perhaps we should give up. I don't know.. To say America has never lost a war is one thing, but if lives are being lost, and our progress is fluctuating up and down, something different should be done.

 

Let them do what they want but monitor and intervene any dangerous or illegal activity. You can't kill them cause they'll keep newly recruiting and you can't reason with them cause they're arrogant religious freaks.

 

Extermination.

The only way to deal with pesky insects such as these is to squash them. I don't mean through war, or combat... but mindless, cruel, un-relinquishing slaughter.

I think that the only way to defeat them is to spread information at a faster pace than they spread propaganda. Yes, there will always be religious fanatics; however, with the spread of information the religions will lose ground, the people will see better lifestyles, and, hopefully, they will quit devoting their lives to the deaths of themselves and others.

 

Yes but how? There's more madrassas than schools nowadays. The madrassa development rate is skyrocketing. Most of the centers of Taliban regime are without electricity, so media is canceled out.

 

The removal of any kind, form or shape of religion. Without religion, we would have a much more peaceful world.

Oh, you're right. The war has been absolutely pointless and ineffective and a gigantic waste of human life and resources.

 

Well, seeing how Saddam had nothing to do with the 9/11 attack (i could be wrong), i would say it was a giant waste of time for what we went to war for.

 

Funny thing is Saddam Hussien was supplied by the American Government.
