    Alright ladies and gay men.

Background on the story- My next door neighbour "used" to be a wealthy elderly gentleman, the last time I saw him was roughly a year and a half ago when he came over to our house to tell us that he's going on holiday and wanted us to look after his pets.

Since then, there has been no contact from him whatsoever bear in mind this is a elderly man. My and my mates been using his tennis courts and acre's of land for all our leisure for months now with no complaints.

Recently I've discovered two vehicles in the stables(Don't ask me how..)the cars are if not identical black Mercedes C class they are both the old version maybe 2001-2004? no number plates(I'll try get pictures up their completely abandoned and the doors are open)

Anyway my and my friends assume he has runaway from debt, what can I do about this find?

And if your going be mad about the whole trespass thing, then don't even post I'm just living my life.

Well you can't just steal his vehicles but if you report it his bank will reposes them, it's really just a lose lose.

last time I saw this man he was in his late, 60's so I wish him the best, cmon you think I'm going to report to the police that I've been snooping around his property and found cars in his stable?

And how would I go about getting the cars into my possession like named owner is what I'd like to know. Screw the fucking bank's these will probably go to some snotty arse banker as a bonus for raping money from the public.

The cars will never legally be in your possession unless the owner signs them away under your name. As you said you can't report them because then the authorities will know you have been going through his property, but it it may not matter because he is not there to press charges.

You may be able to call the police and let them know the man has gone missing and you are watching his pets.
They may then do a search of the house and repo his property, the car will then go under auction, that may be your best bet.

Darn, if my brother still lived with me, we would of done bumper cars with those cars.

Thanks for the information Juv I'm not going to report to anyone, once the government have his house which is worth between £7 hundred- 1.1million pounds, its not really going to benefit me, they will probably put some immigrant in the house living on free rent.

Maybe you should just take some things here and there from inside his house, you can sell them for a little bit of cash and nobody will ever notice.

Well if he has been gone for over a year someone must still be making payments on it. Your best bet is to wait until you see the house up for auction, more than likely all the possessions that are with the house will be sold too, meaning the cars.

Volvic, you probaly need to check on him and make sure he's alive. But if he hasn't left the house in months he may be dead.

Just keep doing what you're doing until he comes back (if he ever does) I don't think his life should concern you.

If his house has not been repossessed yet then someone is still making payments on it. Meaning that he is either still living there, he is somewhere else but still paying for the house, or he is dead and his children are paying for it. More than likely he is somewhere else and still paying for it. You said you have been watching his pets for over a year, if his house hasn't been repossessed by now someone is still making payments for it. This also means that all the property and material objects including the cars are under his possession. So basically you would be stealing his car/s if you were to do anything.

He probably owned the house outright, so he wasn't paying the bank for anything.

As for the cars, leave them, they don't belong to you.

There isn't anything you can do about the house/cars. If it were me and I found out he was dead or whatever, I'd probably take some random small items that I found useful. Nothing just to have it. But seriously, if you're considering stealing from an elderly man, at least make sure he isn't around anymore.

I would report that you've been in his house and noticed him not returning, because if you knew he wasn't there and it comes up two months later that you never did you might get blamed and fined/etc for his death partially.

But continue to use his shit as well, don't steal his cars..maybe loot valuables.

Don't take anything. Report it because if he ever randomly comes back, you'll get in trouble when he notices that his shit is missing.

Why would you report that you have been trespassing on another persons property? And he would not be blamed if the man went missing or died.
