    Build me a PC

For a while now, I've been playing to build an extreme gaming rig.
I'm working hard and should have about AU$4000 (would probably be about $2500->$3000 worth of US parts) all of which I intend to spend on the PC parts, 3 monitors and a good mouse/keyboard.

I'd appreciate if someone could give some advice on parts, or even better, make me a list of parts.

The PC will be used for heavy video/image editing and maxing out games.

    What I require:
    -A high-end Core i7 processor.
-As much ASUS as you can jam in to a computer (I trust this brand like no other, and when available, always opt for ASUS).
    -8GB DDR3 RAM.
-Atleast a 1TB HDD, also configured with another HDD with RAID to store my OS's and programs on OR an SSD.
    -Powerful graphics card.
-3x23'+ monitors (full HD, preferably with HDMI).
    -Wireless G.
    -An Awesome case, water cooling??

    Thanks all :)

    That sites pretty basic.

Not a big range to choose from, the only case they'll allow is an el cheapo $40 case.

I'm looking to buy quality parts and build it myself.

as far as the processor goes, would you be referring to the Core i7-980X? if so, i would LOVE to see some benchmarks when you're finished.

If you want recommendations from people with a lot of experience, go to Guru3D and join their forum. Once you've done that, make a thread stating your budget and what you should buy. You're going to get better responses there than here.

    Good luck.

Get liquid nitrogen cooling, you have to buy more every so often but it works great at over clocking your PC

    Bahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Liquid nitrogen is for people trying to get super-high overclocks temporarily, it is slightly more reliable as a normal cooling method than nuclear power is for home power generation.

I suggest ATI graphic card with 1GB processer and gaming casing will be good for you, don't buy normal casing.

You will need more than 550W. I suggest 1000W with all you will be running. I also suggest the ATI RADEON HD 5970. I have it and it runs like no other. Also, switch the patriot ram to OCZ Gold or Platinum. Other than that those items are pretty good. I'd downgrade the processor to 2.93 or 2.66 and overclock but it's your choice in the end. Also the Antec 1200 is a must for you

Motherboard case gfx memory are all ideal on that. The screen is for gaming so i'd go with the suggestion of the guy above.

GL and have fun with your epic computer
