Considering we already pay $50 an eighth I'm ok with it. I'm happy to pay anywhere near $100 because there'll be health checks done on it and I won't go to jail.

LMFAO @ everyone who has hope in this passing.

+ I don't want to have to wait another 3 years when I can get it now, legally, at 18.

Early polls say 56% of Californians are for legalization.

Where can you already get it legally at 18? Are you in the Nederlands?

Alright well what are you talking about 18? Are you 15? If this passes everyone can buy it and medical users won't be taxed. It'll be a lot more affordable for everyone.

It's a good idea but there will still be people who abuse the laws and Louis, you seem a bit obsessed with weed!

That already happens now, right? To an extent I am. I don't smoke it that often but I read a lot about it every day.

The government had nothing to do with the growing, financing, or the selling of the product, what right do they have to profit from it?

I'd be able to leave an educated reply if I knew the effects of marijuana use. If any could explain what symptoms they invoke, I'd be very appreciative.

Yes, I could google it, but this way I leave an opportunity for someone to increase their post count :D.

They would be. They'd give licenses to people, so not just anyone can grow it. It'd be illegal to do otherwise. There'd be the option to grow in your house but the plants will still be taxed, which I don't agree with since they'd be your plants. Still, either way would be much cheaper and you won't get into trouble for it.
I could write an essay telling you why but I'll just leave this: Marijuana is safer than alcohol.

I want it to be legalized without taxes. Is that so hard to ask?

    California: Proposition 19

The idea behind legalization is that it does get taxed. That way the government can regulate and profit from it. If you legalize it without taxes then all you're doing is helping the criminals, which is one of the reasons the government are even considering it because they want to lower crime.

I'm sure big corporations will not give up the opportunity weed can give. They can make weed cost so little.
