I stopped watching after he said most atheists believe in the Big Bang.

 

Regardless if they do or don't, the video still proves a point.

 

I can easily point to extremely ambigious passages in any holy book just as he did with the Koran.

Also, the greeks knew that the earth was spherical over 2,000 years ago from basic science and reason. The fact that religion brought euprope into the dark ages and virtually all scientific knowlege was lost is not evidence of divine inspiration.

In addition to the above, the sun is not stationary, it is slowly moving around the center of the milky way galaxy (galactic central point).

 

Right, and the prediction was right, was it not?

It didn't mean the world is like an ostrich literally, it had the same characteristics i.e. round not flat.

I can't abide preachers, I find them arrogant. So I found it very annoying watching this video, but still did. I don't really see how this is proving the existence of Allah, he's just referring to numerous extracts from the Qur'an.

I'm personally am an agnostic, who has put a series of beliefs together to form a personal structure of opinions and outlooks on the world. This video had little or no effect on me.

 

He was talking about how there were scientific facts in the Qur'an that were revealed to the desert arabs long ago, and the same things that were in the Qur'an this whole time have just been recently found out by scientists in the 20th century.

 

The problem I have with videos like this is the mumbling, jumbling waffle. If you're going to prove the existence of something, don't digress into irrelevance. Give a deductive and logically coherent set of words to do what you say you're going to do, in this case prove the existence of Allah.

He says that most Atheists will say the creator or the manufacturer. Wrong. We can can assume there isn't a Human creator as we're the first to see it; presumably, we'd know this. We can not assume that any deity created this, however. It is a logical fallacy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argument_from_ignorance), and would only serve to hinder our thought process to assume Allah - or whatever flavor of a god you choose, or have been indoctrinated to choose.

He then brings up the Qur'an and how it historically says there was a Big Bang, but that's a load of bullshit. Give me any ambiguous text and I can find similar things when quote mining.

He talks about the reflecting light of the moon, and I'll give him that; but, I bring up this point to respond to a question "who could have thought up such a thing", or something along those lines: a crazed pedophile, apparently. (I'm referring to the prophet mohammed (intentionally uncapitalized).

His egg argument is interesting too. He says the Qur'an verse, and then tries to correct it by saying that it's speaking of an Ostrich egg. I don't know how it is specifically pointing out that it's an ostrich egg, but he seems to believe that it's there.

I thought that this video was interesting. I've never seen this large of an amount of quote-mining or of "The Nostradamus Effect", but nothing he says here is original. It's all tried and trite. It's easy to have an ambiguous text waiting for the next event to say that it was predicted, but it wasn't. I'm sorry, Fatih, but this is not something that I can buy into.

I think you need to watch that part again. You have no knowledge of the arabic language so you don't have any right to say that he was wrong and that he was correcting himself.

Okay, I guess I have no authority there; however, he also brings up the point that allah drops the mountains down which just shows another lack of knowledge on the author(s) lack of scientific knowledge.
