Pretty sure it'd be $50 an ounce, they have to make it affordable because one of the main aims is to make it so opposition can't exist. I recall hearing someone proposing it to be $50 on the california channel if you want to look the video up.

Look over the bill, the last thing california cares about is if a drug is affordable or not.
I couldn't find the exact bill, but here is the estimated profits from taxing it
    http://www.boe.ca.gov/legdiv/pdf/ab0390-1dw.pdf
I truly doubt prices would be any lowers then $200 an ounce for the goodies.

    California: Proposition 19

Institutes a regulatory system for commercial growers, processors, wholesalers, and retailers, to go in effect 30 days after a change in federal law allowing states to set their own marijuana policies. The system would be similar to alcohol regulation and a fee of $50 per ounce of marijuana would be assessed on retailers.

Well my experience is products are costly due to tax...so I can only hope the additional price isn't a lot. For some reason "$75" sticks out in my mind when it comes to this which is still very nice compared to $250-300 for decent quality stuff.

I hope so, :D but the tax is gay..:\
As long as it's cheaper then the normal 300-400 price's that are around here.

I'd still be happy around the $100 mark, but they have to make it affordable to get the tax in the first place.

Same effect as in? It's much easier to drive under the influence of marijuana as opposed to alcohol. Marijuana doesn't destroy your liver, most regular users tend to give up voluntarily in the mid 30s.

Make sure you influence all the voting people you know to vote yes, this needs to happen now.

ROFL but it does destroy your brain.

$50 an ounce isn't the price that's the TAX

    * This would be crushing to mexican drug cartels: it would stop violence related to them and cut their profit, which they use to buy weapons and smuggle people into america.

Not really, they would be the main importers. You really think California gives a shit about Mexico? Hell no. They won't be selling it cheap and the street price would go down so they would still sale the drug cartel's weed.

    California: Proposition 19

The up to date studies that have been done suggest that after 40 years of continuos use, parts of your brain may become smaller.

As for brain cells, no up to date testing is available. President Nixon did a test on monkeys in which they put gas masks on, which cut a lot of their oxygen supply off, and then flooded their system with marijuana smoke. Dead brain cells were a result of the method and not the marijuana itself.

We've established it's tax, which means the additional price can't be that much more more, around the $100 mark for sure.

One of the main reasons they're doing this is to force the mexican cartels away from Cali. If they want the extra $1 billion in revenue this can make, they have to make it affordable. The consumer needs the incentive to buy from them and not criminals = Quality and price.

Yet to be disclosed. I'm guessing they'll have to sell decent quality stuff, considering one of the main reasons is to crush mexican drug cartels' business. Another guess would be different potencies.

In a fucked up way, I'm sort of siding with you.
There is more good points to negatives. But for instance if those 21+ year olds, are allowed for what ever reason, don't you think the majority of the people they would sell it to would be the youth?

Doesn't that already happen now with both alcohol and marijuana? There's not too much stopping a minor getting it regardless of it's legislative state. However, I don't think there would be many people out there who'd buy it solely for the purpose of distributing it to minors.

I'm expecting good Marijuana, the medical weed they have supplied in Cali, is amazing. My friend brought some back with him once, and we smoked it, and it was by far one of the best few buds we ever had. Though I have no more interest in Weed, that's still pretty awesome, and I'd support it, if I were to vote.
