Whats the best [F2P] Ranger gear !

My gear atm is :
~ Leather Cowl
~ Team-33-Cape
~ Amulet of accuracy
~ 2k Steel arrow
~ Maple longbow
~ Green d'hide body
~ Green d'hide chaps
~ Green d'hide vamb
~ Fancy boots

Can someone please tell me what to buy to improve my ranger [F2P]

Btw whats different between a " Shortbow & Longbow " ?

 

shortbow is faster and longbow is slower but longbow has higher range bonus,still i recomend shortbow because of speed.

fancy boots make range worse by -1

 

No rings in f2p I'm afraid. Your gear looks complete (btw range level?). Congrats!!

 

what about the explorers ring?

 

what ring? i've never heard of that..?

 

i use ring of recoil

 

i usually wear
1.coif(green d hide coif only if u wish u wish to spend ur fog tokens on it)
2.green d'hide body
3.green d'hide chaps
4.green d'hide vambraces
5.amulet of power(not accuracy power gives more range bonus than accuracy)
6.any cape(i wear fm skill cape just 4 its its looks though it is members only.wear any team cape 4 bonus)
7.leather boots(never wear fancy boots r fighting boots)
8.maple shortbow
9.steel arrows if ur wealthy r fighting lvl 70s else switch to iron(i have 70k steel arrows)
10.explorers ring(got from completing acheivement diary)

explorers ring only helps for prayer, but if you have prayer, it'll help + free teleports!

 

I guess your gear is okay, but you're going to get hit a lot. I would go for something that lets you tank more

Certain fancy boots (and the other boots, too) are -1 ranged.

Don't think leather boots affect ranged.
