Made a gift for Gohanisforever... just coz.
Anyho, the far left keeps pissing me off but I can't seem to fix it.

Awesome man, your work always seem to amaze me.
As I really am a GFX noob I can't critisize it, but I'm wondering how do you smoothen your edges so nicely?

 

The yellow placed on the nose looks like a point of light, and stands out as an error to me. Also, though you have a fair bit of framing, and it's pretty enjoyable, why is the bottom right in full focus, as well as the render? The back left has been left out of focus, but it doesn't feel like the front right should be so clear when the back left is so far gone.

Yea... I think it was posssibly accidental - a remnant of one of the c4d's or clipping masks that I placed over the top :S Thanks for pointing it out though.... I guess I should be a bit more observant in the future.
It's the first time that I've really tried framing my signatures properly, it's good to know I'm on the right track
And you're fully right.... it does look a bit unrealistic.... I'm still yet to master the art of blurring and sharpening - gotta remember that for next time!

It's small in my opinion. The text doesn't really fit. I think it could also use a bit toned down lighting and more contrast. That's all I can criticize so far. Great job. You're getting better bro .

 

I think you did a good job on this one. In the color version I feel it blends together very nicely.

Only critique would be the far left which you already mentioned. Seems a bit unused and boring. Nice render and overall nice work though.

 

Yessss! Haha not sure what I've been thinking lately.... all my signatures are dwarves. Maybe a little trigger-happy with the re-sizing and cropping tool?? >_<
Man.... text was a bitch... I spent like 20 minutes ALONE on that, and yet I still couldn't get a good finish. I need some practice, and I need to source out some good tutorials.
Less lighting, more contrast. Got it. Now that I look at it, the focal blends into the background a little TOO much- it would definitely benefit from pushing it's colour out a bit more.

Haha yea... It's almost like an unused section of my canvas, I really have to fill in those sections completely in the future. Thanks for the positive feedback though Farcast!
