Account Upgrades: Membership Codes / Banned??

are codes still a thing? i thought most went out of business from the change last month
maybe its just the codes leftover?

the old codes were from brazilian vendors who were able to get them significantly cheaper n legit bcuz of their currency and pricing

i used them a lot in the past and never received any warning or bans

 

I'm commenting as someone who's sold these for years (as well as using them on my own accounts). There is absolutely no blackhat/illegal/unsafe thing behind the membership codes. Granted, there may be a couple one-offs that could be a scenario that you mentioned but I've never seen or heard of it. I've never had (nor had anyone say) any concerns with any accounts (as again they are purchased legit).

It has to do with a different currency being cheaper so it allows to purchase them for a discount to resell for higher (but still less than Jagex prices for customers).
