Magic Training

I want 94 mage on my zerker pure. I currently have 15m cash, and I'm wondering how best to go about it. My magic level is in the low 70s.


Some things I've heard:

1) Soul Wars - well I see how it's good, since it's free, however I'm really sure about it. Some people swear by it, but others say that it's only really effective when training 90+. At what level is the exp worth it?

2) Alching - really easy, and no concentration involved. However, it seems it would take a long time, and it appears that anything alchable has a very low return rate.. What do you guys think? Items to alch? Will 15m get me to 94 this way?

3) Stunning - this one does appeal to me. The way I figure it, it will take all my money, but it should hold out 80-94. Now, some people talk about using "Sacred Clay Armor" when stunning at dummies. Is it worth it? Will the time I spend playing that minigame really be worth the double exp? I never played it, but if it's really that great, I'm sure I can learn.


I would be grateful for any new ideas or help with the above methods. I'd especially appreciate the advice of anyone currently training, or has recently been training. Thanks guys.

 

I would say the XP is worth it at 90+ as you have heard from others. I am currently botting via alching atm and its extremely fast and not THAT expensive to 94. I have no experience with stunning but i think its more expensive then alching?

 

stun! i stunned from 82-94 botting

babysit ur bot as the dummies is most botted place in runescape
but yeah was getting 98-102k exp a hour easy

 

you should wear melee armour which gives -64 or less magic bonus.
than go to soulwars and curse/stun on pyrefiends. gives great exp.
but if u do sw without cursing u'll need to be around 85 magic.

 

Go to lumbridge and gentle-bot the dummies or just alch imo.

 

I would:

1) Alch until 80+ Magic.
2) Soul Wars to 94.

Alching is boring unless you have a bot. If you do have a bot...don't hesitate to just alch to 94.

 

SW or MTA are both good.

You're just casting a spell on someone or something.. It just weakens or stuns them. A popular method of utilizing it is casting it on dummies repeatedly for easy XP.

 

Alch until you're 80 Magic, then buy armor that gives bad magic bonus and go into soul wars and stun people, that way you get zeals and exp.

 

Alright guys, I'm going to start by alching to 80. It'll be around 14k alchs, so it won't be that long. Then, I guess, I'll start experimenting with the SW/stun combo. Thanks everyone! I still want some more ideas or comments if anyone has them.

 

This is what i do.
get a friend. wear armor bring alch runes and stun runes, stun them [splash] then alch. keep up this combo. you will make your money back if you do it in PVP/BH bc you get ep from it

Spam curse with melee armor so it never connects? I had no idea it was called stunning... Any good recommendations on how to bot this? Also; how much does this cost?

 

Alright guys, just to show you I wasn't just talking about it, I'm actually doing it. Now, the alching went great. It took me around a week and I lost 1.8m from the alchs. However, I made around 3m profit from the ep, when I pked.

Still looking for other opinions, if there is any. I currently have 19m cash.

Apparently, it is now impossible to stun lumbridge dummies! I don't know when it happened, but RS WIKI says it was recent. So good I didn't buy any yet...

 

if you cant stun at dummies anymore there is a like a person in a cage at varrock castle, just wear like full bronze (figher torso is a great negative defence).

 

There is a way in which you can stun/alch without it affecting either xp. It's around 150kxp an hour but involves ALOT of concentration. You could also do this in bh and kill your targ to make your money back


You could also get stealing creation armour and stun somewhere, although i find it boring ;p

 

try stunning skelly in front of the wildy ditch alch at the same time and cast charge every so often

and like the guy on top of me said get some sc armor should speed things up

 

another idea - i got magic brawlers and sat at level 1 and stunned my mate, i did easily my remaining 120k xp within an hour or something.
