Logo sneak peak

I'm starting my own graphic design website, trying to make some side cash while compiling my favorite tutorials, resources, and inspirations. Well anyway I'm going with an artsitic Web 2.0 look, here is the logo and header.





Logo was made in Adobe Illustrator, so I can scale it to the size of new york state without losing quality, and the template was mostly in photoshop.

For marketing reasons I'm not going to release the URL until it's ready to go.
It will be running wordpress. It's mostly good to go, about 85% done.

 

That's a pretty fair layout, but will you be running a footer? If so and otherwise, can you transition the edge of that cloud-top to smoothly move to the straight edge?

 

Reminds me of the Skype logo.

 

I'm actually working on the footer, but yes I do have one. The template maker decided to encrypt the majority of the php, and I don't know enough CSS to set my own div positions. I basically redid the whole template though.

The image you see is literally the header. Uploaded better image, unresized. I'm not sure exactly what you mean.

@Nathan, I know, it was unintentional but I liked it too much one I was done to change it.

 

If you edit that last cloud you have on the bottom of the header image, you could make it look like it makes a smooth curve into the main table.

Loving the new picture, not sure about the thing at the top though. The 'Home' 'About' thing. Doesn't seem to fit in.

 

Why does that look soooo much like Tutorial9? Both the new version, and the semi-old one. Good job though...

 

That looks amazing.
Don't know if you made those, but the facebook, twitter and google thing look really cool. I'm loving the design.

 

The angled shadows are nagging at me, and the gradient nav bar too, though apart from that it's pretty sexy.

Also maybe change the font throughout.
