Graphics card question

Hi im wanting advice on my rig and graphics card, im wanting a new gfx card that will play l4d2,badcompany2,mw2, stuffs like that, heres my rigs detials can u please help me choose a good cheap gfx card:

AMD athlond 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 4400+ 2.30GHz 3gb of ram


Current gfx card: nvidia 8400gs 512m eeeew


Ive been told the 8800GTS 512mb would play bc2 well and mw 2 easy along with l4d2 peice of piss. is this card good? compared to mine and will it run those games?

 

Na, that card a little old. I'd reccomend getting a gtx 260 or a gts 250. Not very pricey either.

 

I have an 8800gts and it runs BC2 and MW2 flawlessly on high Heck, even runs crysis on high Tis a damn good card.

 

Yeah if your looking for a graphics card that can support playing cod and such games at a high quality, be prepared to spend a reasonable amount.
