Should I get defense up?

Well I've been debating getting my zerker pure 99 defense. I'm currently 99 Attack, 99 Strength and 45 defense.

Pros:

I can do slayer more efficiently
Can wear better armor
Can do GWD more efficiently
More access to more quests
Can make money easier

Cons:
Not the same pk level

 

No i wouldnt do it tbh i think you will regret it... i used to be a rune ranger before i got 70defence, and its good for rangers but not for melee

 

The Pros outweight the cons so yes get defense up

Thats what I was thinking, but 45 defense look so clean.

 

NNNooooo dont do it! You will regret it. You can easily purchase/bot a new main. Hell you can purchase some good high leveled combat characters on Sythe for a few measly dollars. You cannot however, go back to 45 defense. I would keep it as it is.

If you were 99 range 45defence and you're melee didnt outweigh your range then i would say yes get 70 defence, hell get 90 like im doing, but because you are melee you should stay 45 defence because that P00nz..

 

There are plenty of zerkers as well, but they are alot more valuable than maxed out mains even. A maxed zerker with no wealth is more pricey than a maxed outcombt with no wealth. Just my opinion, but I think he would regret it and miss the Pking opportunities that a zerker provides. if you really need to mix it up, set your goals high and shoot for turmoil.

 

I may get turmoil before defense and see how I like to pk with that.

Gives me all this extra strength/attack/defense % so I rape.

 

New prayers that Jages released somewhat recently, requires 95 pray to use I believe. Completely owns other zerkers, I believe you can max 45's with a whip at 99 strength and 70 attack.

 

Pking as a maxed melee character is still fun and worth it but I personally would stay at 45 because I'm too lazy to train another 99 skiller

If you're looking forward to play rs more efficiently, get 99 defense. If you're looking to sell you're account, obviously 45 def would be more costly

 

Well I got 60 Defence on my Zerker for teh lulz. 45 Defence was boring anyway... Full Dragon = l33t.

 

If you want to use the account for more then just pking, I would, but if pking is the main reason you play I wouldn't change it.

 

Honestly, I don't pk very often but I like the look. I'm going to get turmoil and see how I like it after that.

 

If you can afford turmoil you will wreck.

 

I have the same dilemma Shall and I am still undecided on what to do.

What I am planning to do is make a test for myself. I will gear up and go pking, if I die before I get a kill I will level up defense, if I get a kill before I die, I will stay at 45 defense.

It is annoying not being able to do godwars and other fun minigames. But I think I am going to try out barrows soon, even though earning potential is not as high at GWD.

 

You'll be able to do more things with higher defense, so i would say get it up
