    Can anyone truely be trusted??

hey I was swapping my account with someone who's name will not be released for I don't have any solid evidence of them hacking me. However I traded my account to that person and it was smooth however they hacked it back in about 5 days after we traded. So my question to you is how would you prevent this/can you prevent this from happening any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Buying accounts is very risky. Any account can potentially be
    recovered.

High postcount does not mean they are trusted.

    ^This.

Always be sure to receive all the information pertaining to the account when trading. If the other person refuses to give it out or doesn't remember, then don't swap with them.

Always do a background check. Check through a person's vouches. Just take these precautionary steps to avoid being scammed.

Haha has given the best advice. Trust is a combination of factors, with post count only being a small factor. Vouches, if legit, can be a small factor in determining trust, as can join date. Always safest to use an MM though.

Trade with cation and everyone has the potential to scam. Even a OMM would scam if given a good enough opportunity. If a level 138 with 18+ 99's were waved in his face, I'm sure everyone on this website would take it and run.

I've only made 3 trades on this site and was scammed all 3 times. My first time was by a leecher, when I was new to the site. I thought I learned my lesson. Then I go out and get scammed by an Apprentice with 1000+ post count, and a join date of 3 years ago -.-

This is not true, and I think you are untrustworthy just by saying this.
If I was MMing a trade of $20,000, I wouldn't scam, just for the reason that it would be a mean thing to do and I get no satisfaction from stealing from others. I think most of the trusted members of the site would feel the same way.

Doesn't really matter to me, Because I don't trade anymore period, and if 20,000 bucks was really in your hand. I'm sure anyone would take it. Just think about what you could do with 20,000 dollars?

    Yeah I know, you're cool.
I just posted the picture because I didn't feel like typing anything.
I would never trust somebody unless I had known them for a while and they had an extensive previous reputation of legitimacy.

Wouldn't stealing $20,000 from a trade be illegal? That's a LOT of money to just run away with scot-free.

Depends on the country your living in. I know in Russia You could do stuff like that ASLONG as your stealing it from Americans.

    lmfao +1

The only person you can trust is yourself. But then you'd be a loner for the rest of your life. There will always be an element of risk, but at the end of the day you got to accept that. Sounds harsh that you got hacked. I hope you didn't lose much etc. The best thing you can do now is report the scammer on the sythe forums and then try to secure the account as best as possible.

Maybe in world laws, but the thing is there is nobody to enforce those laws.

I was watching 60 minutes, and they were talking about some Russian internet gang who created a new virus. Which is practically impossible to stop, knowing they hacked into NBC, and ABC. The USA ordered for there arrest, because they stole millions of dollars out of working Americans pockets. The Russians jailed them for 24 hours and let them go scratch free. They told them they can keep doing this aslong as they're stealing it from westerners.

This exactly. If you can't ever put your trust in someone, then you won't be able to live, at all. You got to sacrifice to gain.
