The meaning of life.

I believe questions such as this are a great cause of depression, aspeople begin to question why we are here, why we try for good jobs etc, when the final result is all the same.

To me, life is a game. It's basically the same ending for everybody, but it's your challenge to get further in the game than others. The only problem is the lack of noticeable reasoning for us being alive making us lose confidence and mtivation to do well.

 

I agree 100%.. but in this time you can do good to benefit those who follow your existence.

 

There is no real meaning to life. Not in the common sense of the phrase anyway. There is however personal meaning to life.

 

I know what you mean.. Your meaning to life is what you make it. You have to live everyday like its your last day. You have one life to live, so make it right.

 

That is precisely the way that I like to look at it, what ever it is that you dedicate yourself to, that is your own personal meaning of life. It's what you truly enjoy doing, no one else - in my opninion - should be able to influence that.

I yet also beleive in this solution, we're just like every other species on the planet when it comes down to it, we may like to convince that we're superior to all others, but we all serve the same purpose. My personal beleif is a mixture between the two, I'm an agnostic so I don't have any religious views to influence my solution. I like to think that there's a mixture of biological reasoning and social and mental enjoyment in my explanation, if you know what I mean.

 

Because man tends to over think pointless shit.

We think of ourselves as advanced but if we truly were we would stop with this "why am I here" nonsense and shut up and reproduce in a reasonable manner.

 

There is no meaning, take an Ant for example.

To be honest, I think the meaning of life (no pun or cliche intended) is to discover our each individual path and what we were each intended to do in our time.
Did life or God intend for us to do the things we did and become the way we are. Are our bodies physically the strongest in the world, if they aren't then why are we considered the ultimate animals? What has allowed us to have a brain so unique in it's function that allows us to piece together the informations of the universe? How can a simple organism develop into something so creative and imaginative as us?

 

The purpose of life is to reproduce and keep the human race alive.

 

For what?

 

Life- live it to the fullest even if you think something won't/might not happen.

 

To make decisions. Life is full of them.

 

I'd say the meaning of life is to find meaning in life, and to exercise our morality.

 

So other people get to experience the wonders of the world and of the human race.
