Why MW2 was the last IW game I'll buy.

Was anyone else incredibly disappointed with MW2? I'm a semi-professional Call of Duty gamer (I've played GB playoffs and some PCL), and I've enjoyed Call of Duty since 2003 when I heard a part of the MoH team (Vince Zampella in particular) was leaving for their own development team.

All of the installments have gotten progressively easier, with the massive jump between 2 and 4, and now 4 and MW2, it's hard to believe this is the same developer that prided themselves on doing what the fans wanted; what couldn't be done in MoH.

Infinity Ward finally gave into the pressure and let themselves get bullied by Activision. No public beta even... "Meet this deadline, make this easier, this needs to sell" is all I feel when I play MW2. There is no heart and soul in this game; it was designed to sell to the masses, and not players like me. It's just a slap in the face. 6 years of work to have it turned to nothingness because Infinity Ward sold out.

That's why I won't be buying another IW game, I won't even be getting the Stimulus Map Pack.

 

I wouldn't say playing on GB is Semi-Pro, but on topic.

I was very dissapointed in MW2, but Infinity Ward have made millions out of this game, and they don't care whether a 'Semi-Pro' gamer likes it or not. They will keep doing what will sell to make money. End of the day, they make shit loads of money.

 

I've not heard much bad about it...but I haven't played it.

 

Never have, never will be a big fan of COD's playing Style. I guess you can look foward to Medal of Honor's upcoming release, it's supposed to have a realistic feel and story line as opposed to COD's made up stories.

 

I think MW2 is pretty fun.

 

Mw2 is boring, and overrated.

Fair enough the campaign was okay, and entertaining. But it needed more depth.

 

I'm not incredibly dissapointed , call of duty 4 was just extremely good , i didin't expect mw2 to be better after i saw waw fail.
Everyone thought mw2 would live up the expectation of being better then 4.
It's not better then 4 , but that doesn't make it a bad game.

 

I played for like a month and stopped because of how cartoonish the weapons felt. I felt like i was playing Shadow Run.

 

Yea, call of duty turned into a joke, every has to cheat and use mods and camp and tons more, i'm now interested in battlefield bad company 2. It's more realistic.

PS: Game Battle is far from the pros lol, that's noob stuff.

 

I hear they are charging $15.00 for two-three new maps? Battlefield Bad Company completely destroys MWF2 in all aspects.

They're actually charging 15 dollars for 5 new maps Not two or three. Also a new game mode, but that still doesn't make it any better...

 

It just killed the cod franchise, IW are no longer making cod anymore thanks god

But Bad Company will win the top spot now i think.
The only thing good about it was the killstreaks in my opinion! :/

Try PCL and GB Playoffs. I used to play Sabo with ShaarP and some of his buddies every day for MW2 pubs.

Well, I love COD I also have played battlefield 2 my option is it's a shit game can't stand it tbh rather play some cod.

But that's my point of view.

 

MW2 seems to be only fun when there are no campers, otherwise it's only enjoyable in thirdperson or in private matches (Sorry, talking bout the PS3 version here) but otherwise it's not too bad of a game

 

I totally agree tih your statement however i must say that GB is not Semi Pro.

MW2 has been hacked and hacked on countless occasions. Its stupid the amount of hacks i come across. Everygame i go in you can guarantee a 4 perk nub or 3 guns.

Its pathetic.

As for the maps i will be buying them however i dont think IW deserve all the money
