Make a new announcement.

Telling Sythe users to stop fucking clicking on links that are suspicious. Yeah, apparently a sythe member, Jamie., was taken in by one of these links that turned out to be a Java drive by.

And his hacker added me to tell him that he has installed a RAT on Jamie's computer, and now has his RS account. He also told me he RATTED like 40 more people on Avalane >_>.

 

If they are stupid enough to click 'run' on the Java thing, they deserve to be hacked.

 

Its not worthy of a sticky.. its common sense.

 

There's already an announcement on not clicking suspicious links, mainly image links though. I'll edit it..

 

I know it's their own fucking fault, but I do care about the members for all their stupidity.

 

Hm, i think the advertising of these websites should be at the bottom and a featured thread or something should be at the top.

Guy's, I remember when I first came too Sythe, I seriously had no clue, if someone said this is a link for a free pin, I'd click it, I got scammed around 5-10 times before I FINALLY started working things out and realizing that not everyone on the internet is safe.

 

Why? So people can stop thinking for themselves?

 

Apparently, if we let them think for themselves, they'd die >_>. Seriously, how come there's so many stupid ass members here? If you have any doubts on a link, at least wait for someone else to verify what is it.

Don't be a stupid greedy twat and think "wow i better click on it coz i want dem free pinz and i dun wan anyone else to get it". I mean, did you guys know we have a user ed section?

 

There are to many people whom are attempting to recreate Rsbot. First of all, the first forum that I found out was RsCartle, next it was Avalene, then it was RsPortal or something. I'm like wtf?

 

Somebody's inability to read isn't our fault.

Stop flaming people who don't understand.

Even if it is stupid for them too click the link, even if they are idiots, making a simple sticky would only take 5 Minutes, and it could save Peoples Time, Money, Personal accounts, etc.

 

Then they would have to show new members how to trade, who to trade, etc. It's just babying them

 

It's not just their Runescape accounts that are at risk. Do you even KNOW what a RAT is? It can destroy your whole fucking computer.

The hacker can steal his Sythe account and go on a rampage, scamming people/infecting people. Paypal details can be stolen. Are YOU ready to take that responsibility? Making a simple sticky/announcement could prevent all this.

 

There will still be people who will never read it.

You can't just say that if they click it they've learnt there lesson, Cause they learn there lesson, and get punished. If a sticky is made, and read, they they learn there lesson, and no-one, or nothing gets hurt.

 

The problem is that they're hardly ever read, and 90% of the people who DO read them will just ignore what they say.

If you get scammed then it's your own fault. I say we completely remove all the anti-scam measures, and then all the idiots will leave so that they don't get scammed, and we'll be left with a community that has common sense.

 

I'm not flaming anybody, just saying that people should take responsibility for their own stupidity.

 

Yes, that is true, but if it saves one person from being scammed, however big the scam, it's worth it, isn't it?
