Why is Runescape so addicting to you?

For me, I, myself, I would have to say that I spent most of my childhood playing it and had so much good memories playing with friends I knew for years. To think that these people lived on the other side of the world from you and you know so much about each other. What makes us keep going for that 99 or for that quest cape or for that first rare item? For the love of the game.

 

Setting goals and completing them.

 

Its not. I beat it a few years back. Now I just merch, GWD, and PK occasionally.

 

Yeah I retired a while ago. It really is just click after click.

the addiction comes from u want to get higher, you want to be the best so you keep playing and playing and playing, but once you will realize u aren't the best xD

 

For me the addiction/hobby is still strong.. I started playing way back in the day. Most of my runescape time was/is due to being deployed in locations where there no life unless your working/watching your back... Runescape for me provides the escape that I look forward to. Now how about Sythe.. I'm losing a lot of ingame time since I joined here although I'd have to say, I'm having fun which in the end is what it is all about.

So damn addicting. Everytime I set a goal, I say to myself ok this is it. Im going to be done and go pking. That was 2 months ago and now im going for 94 magic and after get addy gloves. I just keep making goal after goal.

 

makeing mills to sell in 2006 i made over 4k gbp but 2007 all accs banned but luckily i only had 30mill left of billions, nw i just bot and sell or pk

I don't really play anymore, only when I pk.. but then again that's hardly ever because its so fucked now to me.

Back in the days though, I just don't know what kept me playing looking back on it. I really wish I had gone out and done some excercise or something instead of playing this shit.

Don't really regret it that much though, I've had a lot of fun playing this game, and met a lot of great people.

 

Addicted to Sythe now, I rarely use RS.

Although if my pin business gets shutdown I'll go back.

 

It's not addicting. There's just something about it that draws me back >_> I just PK occasionally or bot the fuck out of my account.

 

Runescape is addicting for me because what i can think when playing runescape is if i ever get a chance on getting my first 99
