If you have multiple hunters / shamans you can trap / totem the whole area and they'll all be REEEEAAAALLLYYYY slow anyway. No need for this plan.

 

I don't think you understand what threat is....

Just as soon as the ranged start "nuking" the adds, they'll probably drop aggro on the frost mage.

Even if they dont, just have the ranged kill the adds.... there's no point for an elaborate strategy.

For starters, if you have a frost mage in your group, or an arcane mage with points put into improved blizzard, then your group sucks

If you have a mage that happens to have an off spec that they don't use and wants to make a special spec just for this fight, I still don't think it will work because the chill effect only lasts for 1.5 seconds, and after that they are going to rush the mage and he is fucked.

 

you're all bad, this fight's a fucking joke, i just came back and pugged this shit with 4.8k GS and managed to pull 7400 dps as affliction.

**EDIT** this strategy is bad, because having a mage waste talent points and time blizzarding is a waste, when you can just have 2 hunters drop traps on either side and they'll be dead before they even get remotly close to any range.

if you have 2 hunters the mage won't need to put a chill effect they should lay the traps distract shot and kite.

Just use the strat everyone else does.
Don't have a hunter?
Have a shaman use the totem that slows there movement speed.
Don't have a shaman?
Tell DKs to use there chains of ice on BB.
IMO If you don't have any of these classes,you better have some mad ranged dps.
