Alice in Wonderland

So I got drug to it on Friday with the gf, in 3-d.

Horrible in my opinon because half the movie wasn't in 3-d, story line was odd (according to my gf) as she said that the movie wasn't really like the original.

 

Wasn't the guy on opium or something when he wrote it? That might be why.

 

Tim Burton? I don't think so......he really made it odd though.

 

Nah not Tim, the guy who wrote the original Alice in Wonderland.

 

I watched it and I agree.
This wasn't what I expected.

 

I am probably gonna see this soon and Im not expecting anything like anything else as its tim burton

 

I actually loved the movie lol. I thought the 3D was amazing too, because it didn't try to force it at you, it just added depth to the scenes. The imagery was amazing to me, and I really care more about that than the actual storyline. And the storyline wasn't even that bad, at least it had a beginning, middle, and end.

I'm currently reading the original book now, and while a lot of it is completely different from the book, the main concept is still there. I heard that it was meant to be a sequel to the original, and she was just going back after getting older, however she didn't remember any of it (hence the "You think she'd remember this from last time..." when she was in the checkered room).

So yeah, overall I thought it was pretty good. Visuals = 10/10. Plot = 5/10. Concept = 7/10.

 

Eck, it was too long and there were barely any jokes in there, i only went to see Stephen Fry as the Cheshire Cat. Waste of time imo.

 

It's not meant to be a remake of the 1951 version, it's the sequel "Through the Looking Glass". I haven't seen it yet but I'll probably see it in the week.

 

were they even supposed to give 3d glass's for it? i went to watch it and it seemed od we wernt given some.

 

lol man lucky your gf is into movies mine just likes shopping and sports. I was considering watching it, looks a bit creepy for a kids film ha.

 

It sucked IMO, the cat and the worm were cool though

 

I guess I'm going to be biased about this movie. I was down in Tuscon with some friends, as a joke they bought a bootlegged version of it off a guy on the street, so the quality was bad, but I still think the plot line was terrible. I don't remember the original being this much of an 'acid trip' of a movie. >_<

I was very disappointed with the film, the 3D was bothering my eyes the entire time, the story was long and dry.

 

I went to go see it with my gf a while back, it was pretty good Imo it wasn't in 3d but oh well, pretty good film

 

Everyone said it was gonna be so good etc etc.
It was complete rubbish tbh.
Way to bizarre to enjoy.
