Mods can't be infracted?

Earlier today, I reported a post made by Blupig for spam. While going through the threads I had posted, I accidentally clicked the thread leading to the infraction report. When I looked at the post made by the mod reviewing it, it just said fine. I'm assuming this means Blupig wasn't infracted for a post that was clearly spam.

I'm not trying to be a dick or start anything, but I just found it a little unfair that he wasn't infracted.

 

Why do you just assume that he was not infracted? Also, Blupig is an ex-mod.

I don't like infracting mods and ex mods, but it was spam so I did and said fine. God. >_<.

 

Moderators do not get special treatment, nor do user educators, official middlemen, etc.

*rolls eyes* if mods were to get infractions for spam, then half of the team would be temp banned.

Staff members do get a bit of leeway with infractions: it wouldn't really make sense to temp ban a staff member for 5 spam posts when they, more than likely, delete/infract a few hundred more. If it really becomes a problem, contact an admin.

As for ex-staff, they receive no special exceptions, as noted above.

 

Mods can't infract people of a higher status, iirc (section can't infract a global, global can't infract an admin).

The point of the non-spamming rule is to stop people from getting their post count up and trying to gain unneeded trust. Staff have no reason to do this, so infracting a staff member would be a complete waste of time.

Also, what purpose did your report blupig and making a thread about it achieve?

 

Thats completely hypocritical. As staff you are expected to be role models. So why should you get more leeway? If anything you should be temp banned for three. If users see mods behaving badly they will follow suit.

 

I can attest to mods getting infractions, I received a tonne of infracts as a mod. I'm pretty sure I was temp banned for a day or two as well.

I've received 2 while being a mod...they were both warranted, etc... Mods definitely get infracted.

Mods should be getting a bit of leeway. They should not be temp banned for something petty like that, because they keep our community clean.

 

Especially in the staff lounge. ITS LIKE HEAVEN IN THERE!!! ROUND THE CLOCK SERVICE, MASSAGES, FREE FOOD!!!

You can often see us playing poker in there. That's how Skele lost his virginity. That hand turned out very bad for him.... >_>

The point is that sectionals can't infract globals, globals can't infract admins.

I think I scored a temp ban from that time I redirected the entire banlist to goatse... that was hilarious!
