    Guide Quality Assurance

The guide quality on sythe is extremely low. I'm talking about the paid runescape guides, they're all junk. Barely any of them work, so I believe there should be a Quality Assurance team to make sure the guides are actually "Good" not just working.

E.G. I say I'm selling a woodcutting guide and you can get 100k exp an hour. I give you a guide that tells you to chop Ivy in a location where not many people are.

Sure, that guide IS correct, but it isn't any good.

Should these guides be allowed to be sold? No. Can people take guesses at them because they think it's a junk guide and they know what it is? No.

So either make a quality assurance team, or get rid of the guide section, because it's really useless as is.

    EDIT:

    Great example here: http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=788215

Also, I believe the guide should be submitted to the whole Guide Quality Assurance team, and after 3 have agreed with and posted why they believe it's good it is verified.

The problem is that some user offers to verify the guide (which is against the rules, for the reasons you mentioned) and others buy it. Just ask a moderator to verify the guide before purchase.

Just make sure that a verification was made on the guide. But, in that case, many people lie, and say the guide that they're selling has been verified by.. lets say ^ [N]ick ^ up there, even though it hadn't been verified by [N]ick.

Hate to say it, but I've never really trusted mods verifying guides sense WiZzY1.

Maybe if they tossed it back and forth between each other, it wouldn't be so bad. Honestly though, there are quite a few guides that are legit, just crappy.

Also guides that have been sold before, guides that are obvious. The thread that I posted as an example, that was an obvious guide.

It shouldn't have been allowed to been sold, although I wasn't sure if it was verified, I know for a matter of fact that has been released to the public.

Also, it doesn't have to be a rank... There could just be a list of people trusted to verify guides.

Then again, maybe guides shouldn't be sold at all before being verified.

As stated above, only buy it if it is verified And/Or has a large amount of vouches too it.

    End of story.

Yes. If it's easily guessed then why should it be sold?

I would like to see this forum more organized, though. So a QA team for guides would be nice. It does not have to be all mods, but let's face it: mods love to get free stuff. (joke)

Figure I should put this out there..

    http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=769485

If a mod could review this guide and tell me if it should be allowed to be sold?

I have bought it, and well.. If this guide should be allowed to be sold, then close this thread. It's not worth trying if THAT should be sold.
