Am I safe? (virus)

So I was on a runescape hacking website yesterday, and one of the owners posted a recent hack he had gotten. So another person posted. "What are your websites? I want to make sure I never go to them." He posted 2 of them and with my stupidity I thought it was a phisher so no harm in clicking it.
But instead I started doing something wierd with what looked like java to my comp. So I got scared and X-ed out.
Then an hour later I log onto runescape and I play for a couple minutes. Then I went to switch worlds but it booted me offline to the login page. I tried to log in again but somebody changed my password. So I sent in an appeal to jagex. (On a different computer). And I got my account back. But oddly nobody had logged onto it.

So after that I did a system recovery and recovered it to about 4 days ago. Followed by a virus scan. Nothing came up but cookies. So am I safe? Did the system recovery get rid of it? Or is it undetecable by the virus scanner? (norton virus scanner). So sorry about the size of this thread.

 

Maybe you just typed your password wrong the first time?

 

Rofl, tbh thats exactly what my brother said to me. But i had smoked like 2 hours before this happened so I was comming down off a big high so maby I was just tripping out. Lol, but even if this is true. I typed in like all my possible passwords that ive ever wrote and they didnt work.

I tell you this happened to me a few days ago! Someone logged into my account and wanted my MSN. So, I gave it to them, then they were requesting $15 to give my account, but luckily I stalled until my recoverys got accepted.

After I logged in, I played for 10 minutes then logged. When I logged back in after 2 hours, my email was cancelled, bank pin was delete, and recoverys were changed. I went back on MSN, and he told me my recoverys that I put in; which scared me. I tried virus-scanning, but that never worked either.

Holy shit, thats like hostage on your account rofl. I feel bad for you. Get a new virus scanner. (Buy one) But yea i think im safe. i logged into rs like 3 hours ago and my account is fine.

 

Someone has a RAT on you.

 

Sounds like someone had a RAT on your computer. It might have been automatically downloaded by a Java Drive-by, triggered by going to his website.

Be careful. He could block you from ever going to www.runescape.com. Then you'd be screwed. Or if he's feeling particularly pissed with you, he could delete your system 32, in which case, you'd be fucked.

 

To the guy with the RAT, save all necessary things, reformat Windows. Takes about 3 or 4 hours tops. Its much better than having everything of yours stolen.

 

well.. You have either a RAT or a Keylogger. You should down-load malwarebytes' anti-malware will get rid of any rat and or keylogger out there
