WoW or RS?

I agree with the guy above.

All of the cheap ass fags play RuneScape cause they'd rather spend there other $15 a month on either buying gay porn magazines or anything gay to get off to.

Yes, i may have had my share of botting on RuneScape to make some easy cash, but i never dedicated myself to it, or never played for myself.

WoW is so much better. For one, compare the graphics.

WoW Has Raids, Professions, amazing gear, auction houses, theres heaps.

Yes, Runescape tries to make good skills, tries to make new gear, and attempts to make a rip off of the Auction House, but they just fail.

They use a fucking web based browser.

For those of you who support RuneScape because of the cost, just kill yourself.

I play both, Well, getting back to playing Wow,
I loved my 10day trial. bought a 1 month sub. then stopped playing due to my computer being suckish, which made it horrible to play.
I am not saying its the games problems, its my computer.

Runescape on the other hand. I don't waste my personal time on it, with all the repetitive clicking.


About graphics, It's not on a high proirty list for me. I enjoy playing LoZ:OoT,
but sometimes the grahpics bothers me when they are outdated (for ps2/xbox generation games)

But for RS with the HD player, its amazing for a java-based game, and also a browser game. Outstanding in its own engine (java-based games).

WoW on the other hand, can't say much, due to little play time plus playing on minimum specs. but it is a really great game.

Gameplay, with my little period with Wow, can't say much but it is fun.

RS is repetitive, thats why there are bots. I only do the quests when I want.
Can't say much on that either.

Also, you may argue that you may pay for Wow, its a good deal. more enjoyment than going to the movies 3 times a month. (If played 30 hours per month, equal 20 90-minute movies at the theaters).

Runescape on the other hand. 3.50 for a membership. great for a casual player. For it's features, its worth it.

But let's be honest. it takes me 3 hours of babysitting for one month Wowsub. so for every 1 hour of babysitting, 10 hours of Wow, Only saying playing on average 1 hour per day.

RS isnt a lot either. you can get a decent character for 3 hours of work.
less time wasted.

In my opinion, WoW has objectives until you hit the max level. Then questing gets boring, and what's the point of raids? There's no value in them that can be obtained. As for Runescape, yes repetitive, but there are goals you can accomplish even after maxing all your stats, and constant week to week updates. You can get rich, jump the high scores. As for WoW, I don't know about the PvP, nothing special about it. No reward. If you haven't noticed, more of the HARDCORE DIE HARD NERDS, play WoW. They are the ones who flame on Runescape's casual players. Why? Because they take pride in the games they play, because they matter to them in real life. Oh sorry, I said real life, I meant the PvP realms. Uhmm, is it a bad thing to play a game because it's cheap? If we felt , "Hey runescape is cheap, but WoW is so much better, I'll pay for it..." we'd pay for WoW. But we don't feel WoW is WORTH the cost. While you do. so please, you sound like an idiot when you say we play for the price.

that they have accomplished on Runescape AND it being on 100% JAVA is just AMAZING. WoW is same old stuff. Graphics aren't anything special really, any game can do it. RoM?

 

I've played runescape for 5 years. Then I quit and started playing wow, played it for a year got 3 geared 80s and just recently quit wow, because I got bored of playing. I'm back into runescape kinda, just botting but I still say Wow is a much better game, I just like rushing kids on rs then watching them rage, there idk more chill on wow.

 

Personally, WOW is pretty fun to play (Private servers) yet, I still prefer RS. It's more classic and plus, Wow takes a bunch of space on your comp haha

 

Mate, there is WoW private servers more famous than real games.
There is a huge selection as well unlike rs.

RS private serves tend to be based around PKing and PKing alone. There is very very few good servers that is skill based.

Wow servers have everything from rollplaying to pvp to endgame raiding. There is some great twink servers. You even get servers that are just original wow or Bc so that even people without WOTLk can play.

And creating the most successful mmo in HISTORY is not an achievment? or how about the fact that almost every other mmo bases its gameplay/ui/group and raid functions on WoW's? Most features of runescape could be found on wow before they were ever implemented into rs, and for an old game the wow graphics have ages considerably well.

 

k heres my input.

wow gets my vote because its alot more entertaining in every single way you cannot compare a part of runescape .. anypart to wow where runescape will come out the winner except monthly fee. For example pvp in runescape completely fails people running around clicking food thinking their good hybrids.. they may be good runescape players but if they went wow created a mage << imo the most fun class ever , they would realise what their missing. also how do you get recognition for beeing a good runescape player you cant. you ahve to make videos and all that bs .. where as in wow the arena system if youare a good player and have a good partner you will be recognised on your realm and battlegroup .. or if your an outstanding player you will probably be recognised worldwide with the rating sytem.

seriously on runescape how can you stand out from everyone else .. how do you achieve something that most other people cant..the problem is you cant you might solo corpand get a fucking stupid sigil or w.e. try wow go to ulduar do 25man hardmodes .. this takes skill and not just skill of one player skill of 25 players working together in a team over the course of a week or longer to achieve something that hardly anyone can achieve ( at the time of uld ofc everyone can do it now with 264 gear) thus making wow superior to rs.

also , wow is fully customizable where as runescape isnt you HAVE to click everything even if you didnt want to you have to, evenyour character movements are controled by clicking all the people saying yeh wow is confusing .. are you serious what is your iq .. the only way it could be confuusing is if you cant read, or are blind or ofcourse a 9 year old kid who finds everything confusing. like most runesccape players.

oh and have you seen the animations on wow compared to rs? , ice barrage your pixel wants to take itup the bum < Mage casting frostbolt is some bad ass animation.

also game length .. yeh theres alot more "time" in runescape .. personeellly i can no life .. idc if i want to get a character up on wow i will reach endgame content in around 8-10 days ..doesent bother me but if you want to reach end game content in runescape .. if you can call it that its going to take you the best part of 18months to max out which is completely uncool.

this concludes my part of the arguement that wow is better than runescape.
incase you didnt realise runescape is trying to be a browser version of wow.

WoW hasn't really struck me as a spectacular game. I haven't played properly, but I don't think it'll ever replace RS for me.

 

Well i played both..
wow is a great game, you can run arround your own dont have to click to run but use asdw keys. You can fly etc has a great gameplay and alot to do.. Its fun but it takes many time to do something however they are making things alot faster nowadays.

Runescape how ever is so much diffrent you cant compare. it has a diffrent gameplay you can click arround to do stuff. a bit less graphics but still a great game. its what charmander said earlier diffrent people like the diffrent games its up to you to decide

I disagree, runescape dosen't charge you, $15+ the equipment/CDs you have to buy. The combat in runescape now is horrible, I know. That's why I am into skilling only now .

 

This is coming from a person who has put maaaany hours into both RS and WoW. WoW has a looooot more stuff to do in it, more mature people, great PvP, great graphics, and over all more complex then runescape. Sure it costs money to play, but honestly if you can't get 15$ in a month then you are probably 14 years old or younger, and shouldn't be playing WoW anyway.

The thing that keeps me coming back to runescape though is leveling up your skills is fun, and I USED to play runescape for the pvp but when it got turned into utter shit I haven't played any kind of pvp since then (except for a few minigames). Runescape is cheap, and accessible. It has a (much) more immature audience, impossible to RWT (one of the tings that I love about WoW), and the grinding you have to do is waaaaaay more boring then WoW.

Leveling in WoW = Doing quests, switching zones every few levels, keeps things interesting while grinding

Runescape leveling = staying in one area for hours on end (eg: leveling fishing, you get to stand in shilo village for 65 hours while you try to get your fishing to 99, yaaaaaay -.-)

 

Runescape if they would take it back to the year 05. Did play RS for several years and WoW for a year and I did have fun in both games but runescape definitely brought me to a whole dif. level which no other game could. I would be sweating during team vs team fights in the wildy. WoW gameplay is ok but to get the best gear you must be in a high-end guild and you have to show for the raids on time etc. etc. That's what bring the game down a bit. PvP isn't all that great either. There's def. a LOT more I can compare but I'm just to tired so this is all I'm typing.

So IMO Runescape 00-07 > WoW since release till now.

Runescape now < WoW
