You ever see a forum/community die?

It's really sad when you visit a community.... You leave it and come back a few years later to see how it's doing, and you see everyone; mods, admins, people, are all gone :/ ...

It always makes me really sad and just wondering if anyone has any sites like that. Im not really talking about the infinite number of sythe copy cat sites that have all failed miserably throughout the years... I mean the once active, blooming communities that now cease to have a single post per day :/ . Like rs2cheating.com .

 

I used to run a very Active RSPS Forum...(I was Co-owner & Forum Owner )
I left for a year, Staff Couldn't stay on they're feet I guess :/
It was really sad tho, since It was pretty successful for about a year, I left for 3 months and It almost COMPLETELY died.

 

Scionbot; I fucking loved those guys, it was sad to see it fall apart when the management changed hands.

 

I've seen plenty of community/forums die but it has never saddened me.

 

Yep, Infinity Skill. They were a really nice and friendly group of people. One day, everyone stopped posting... :'( it was sad.

 

I've had this happen to me on quite a few RSPS :\

 

I have seen several forums fall. Some successful others not. I have also lost touch with some smaller forums that I visited when I was younger, and they have became huge. It is sad to see a community fail, or even more sad, see one grow without you.

 

I've seen a few forums die, mainly because all the people think they're soooo cool on the Internet.

 

That's sort of what happened to me with RSBot, I was the top poster when it was just an IP address.
After they moved to VB, it just started to go downhill, and I didn't pursue it any further.

 

Mafia Coders had over 30k members and died. I miss it .

 

No this is the only forum I go on.

 

Only two stick out in my mind.. Reinet and SYI. Once Reines left Reinet, it never really was the same. Everybody slowly left. It's somewhat active still today I guess, but nothing like it used to be. I had like 4k posts.. probably a little bit less.

SYI/stealingyour.info was pretty awesome, although I wasn't very active on it.

 

Hell yeah. I've been on Blurite and iPS. Both died due to lack of members.

 

RSbot.org it so sad to see it go.. RIP hopefully sythe doesn't die otherwise...otherwise..otherwise.. i'll be MADD

 

Fagex.net. Use to be great forum. Now it's a piee of shit...

Was a forum for a game but as soon as the game shut down alot of people left... There is only a few that post now.

 

Yup, but the forum that I have seen died is started to kick back up. Will it reach its former glory? No, but its getting back up there little by little.

My old PS3 clan website. I was with them from the beginning, back when they only had like 10 members. It was around for a good 2 years, got heaps of members. But my PS3 got stolen, so i was gone for the last year until i bought a new one, then i came back and the site was completely gone. I talked to some old members on my PS3 and yeah, the community had died. I wasn't sad, but i was a bit disappointed.

 

I was an admin on http://sp0rk-eh.com

It slowly started to die after the trade limit came into play, and eventually went offline for good one day. It was saddening.
