Smithing Help , 85-99? What Should I do ?

Ok , So im 85 Smithing..

And I wanna know whats the best way for 85-99 Smithing Via plate bodies...

I need to know what the toal number of Bars to be made and profit loss...

Addy and mith are the best but i dunno whcih is best from those 2.

 

Work it out yourself you lazy shit, use Tip its mining calculators..

I don't know if you made a mistake or your just really bad with math. But smithing any bars will lose a lot of profit. Smelting is the only way to break even or make a profit...

Steel plates require 3 bars, i believe?, that's around 2.7-3k in cost if you purchase the bars. Alching a platebody will get you 1.2k...so you lose 1.5k-1.8k per steelplate body. Starting with iron ore and coal i think you'll only lose around 600gp per platebody. All these losses are excluding the price of nats

 

people above really need to learn math and/or the skill itself

personally i calculated this a few days ago and found addy is a lil cheaper than mith from 88-99 with the prices of bars at that time. not only that, addy is faster xp so you spend a lot less time smithing allowing you to do more with your time (skill, merch, gwd, spend less time on rs!). This could change slightly depending on prices of the bars now though. but do 85-88 with mith, then 88-99 with addy.

dont do steel bodies for sure, thats a complete waste and takes a lot longer (since youre above 68 smithing). steel bars is about 900-1k ish each depending on the market and 5 bars per plate so steel plate cost about 5k to make, but only alch for 1.2k. so you're looking at a 3.8k loss per steel plate not including nats and you need to smith A LOT more bars than you would for mith/addy so it'll add up. why people smith steel, i dont know.


in the mean time, hope this helps... i'll probably recalulate later on today so if i do, i'll edit my post and put in the costs/loss, ect.

They really need to do something about it, getting smithing levels up is so difficult and cost heavy compared to other skills. It's too hard to get 90+ smithing just so you can create rune items that you can wear at only 40 defence. Also, you can make more money from mining ess then you can in the time it takes you to mine and inv of rune ore to create armor or bars..

 

its a skiller - smithing is a highly respected skill....

yeah smithing is a pretty respected skill... always wanted it since rsc days so i'm getting it with this bonus xp thing. Plus, i'm hoping and expecting they'll throw some update out in the near future for those with high lvl smithing... maybe the new combat armor thats suppose to come out this year might require high lvl smithing?

619k+274k=894k
steel bar=1108gpx1111=1.2mil
cannon ball=379gpx4444=1.6mil

cost=894k profit=789k total: 1.6mil

 

Go to sc and get some hammers, then do adamant plates.

 

What about smithing gold with the special gauntlets?
