    My new goal.

;D I've decided to go on a diet thing starting Sunday, I'll be doing a variety of exercising to see what works best, I also might start playing basketball again, but most of my time will be spent working on my shuffling and possibly paintball wars with friends.

I'm 6'3 and 210 lbs, my goal weight is probably around 160 and put on 10 or 20 lbs of muscle back on.

Anyone have any idea of what to eat/drink? I've tried vitamin water, but that shit just gives me migraines from hell.

Add my msn if you feel like it, [email protected]

You're not overweight if you're 6 foot 3. You don't need to lose weight. Just convert the fat into muscle.

    Good luck :)

All Vitamin Water is basically sugar+water+a little flavoring.

If your 6'3 and 160 your almost anorexic.

Yo man, first of all cut that vitamin shit out man.

Drink just tap/mineral water. All the fluids you consume should be water. No fruit juices just water, especially chilled water.

Cut out Mcdonalds KFC anything fastfood you can think of, and trust me a couple of months and you will see results.

I'll be your inspiration as last year from just doing those two things I lost 40lbs and went into a dangerous weight nearly being considered anorexic but I've now put on around 30lbs of muscle and I grew ruffly 4 inches since then.

If you stick with it man, you goner get results!

    My new goal.

160 at 6 foot 3 is no good. I'm about 5'10 and weigh about 170, my goal is to hit about 185. 160 is too skinny if you ask me man. Muscle weighs more than fat so don't expect to loose too much weight...if you do you'll look anorexic.

Hows you're cardio? If you want to slim down and tone up a bit go for a run. When we work out we usually run every other day (Monday-Wednesday-Friday) Usually about a 5 mile run. We keep it at about an 8 and a half-9 minute pace, so thats about 45 mins. Then we work abs...various exercises like sets of flutter kicks (50 four counts), reverse crunches (40), crunches (40), planks (2 minutes), work the oblieks (40), sit ups (40), toe to bars (5: basically hang on a pull up bar and bring you're toes to it) Thats basically 1 set. We'll do about 4 sets. Then we finish it off running stairs. You're abs and legs will be destroyed. We sometimes do push ups with them, but arms are for the in between days. Tuesdays, we'll go for a light 2 mile run about 9 minute mile pace. 25 regular push ups/25 close hand push ups/25 wide arm/10 pull ups/50 squats/15 dips on the dip bars/20 reverse push ups (basically put you're heals on the ground, grab the dip bars and hang with you're back towards the ground and pull yourself up. Thats 1 set yet again and we'll do about 4 sets. If you're on you're 3rd or 4th set and didn't hit muscle failure you've cheated yourself. You can give that shot, maybe bring the reps down a bit until you get used to it.

    Good luck chief.

    My new goal.

I'm 5'10" right now and about 163ish. I have given up soda, fast-food, candy, cigerettes, and energy drinks for this years baseball season. I also made it interesting and into a bet with a co-worker. The bet started Sunday and everyday we go it is another 25 cents for the loser to pay. Baseball started Monday and it is getting tons easier by the day.

Good luck on your diet as well.

    My new goal.

he will lose weight in the first week or so as the diet and excercise will have an effect quicker then the gaining of muscle. but it is true there is no way u should go down to 165 if ur 6 foot 3 and want some muscle. if need any workout excercises contact me. also if ur going for basketball make sure u do some cardio obviously, squats, lunges, bulgarian squats, and if ur gym has them put some weights on your ankles while running and doing some vertical jumps. this will help work on your hop for basketball

    also for your diet:

    - i suggest u get some soy protein powder that u put in with milk for after a work out. This helps with the torn muscle tissues so u are ready to work out sooner.
    - also for your diet make sure you eat a lot of things like chicken that are good for your body and try and avoid and processed foods.
    - finally you are going to be working out etc. so you will have to eat MORE. don't think you have to eat less to get in shape, when you are working out you burn more calories which means you need more calories for energy. your body will get use to the new amount of calories and u will build a higher metabolism, just make sure u continue working out or u will start to gain weight if u keep eating that same amount

    My new goal.

I'm actually not "stout" like I should be lol. I have an athletic body, and really high endurance. There's guys in my platoon that are pretty big, but I can out PT them...which makes me mad because I would rather be diesel and not be able to do as much than where I'm at now. I would probably be bigger if I knew a little bit about nutrition...notice how I didn't give any tips for that haha, thats because I know shit about it. I'm not too worried about it though, because everyone looses weight in deployment unless you go to some super Fob where all you have to worry about is working out. Which isn't where we're going.

And all the running we do burns so many calories + my high metabolism lol. I literally eat like shit everyday, and manage to not gain weight haha. Protein is what I need, protein always helps.
