You meet the seller in game and he trade you the item for med price. Santa's will be traded is this case.

 

BayBeez, he's not buying the santa for $3, he's buying the RIGHT to buy the santa for $3...

Basically

$3 + Medium Price of Santa

For, the Santa.

He's doing this because santas were being bought out.
