Help with cleaning steam account registry.

In the past few days i've had several of my steam accounts i own get disabled and i've talk to two of the users here on sythe named KoRnHoLiO and Prowler and they both told me theres a program used to clean your steam registry on your computer to prevent this from happening. They told me its located here on the forums somewhere and its called Prevention Tool or something like that but i failed at finding it with the search function, so i was wondering if you guys could help me out. It would help me out a ton. I'll even vouch for the person who helps me out. No need for a program tbh. And there are other ways of doing it via Uninstall/reinstall but there a lot of files you can delete. But before you do it, please make sure you have a completly backup of your Steam folder. Then delete these files:

1) C:\xxxxxxxxxx\Steam\*.mst

2) C:\xxxxxxxxxx\Steam\appcache\*.*

3) C:\xxxxxxxxxx\Steam\SteamLogs\*.*

4) C:\xxxxxxxxxx\Steam\steamapps\xxxxxxxxxx\counter-strike source\*.mdmp

5) C:\xxxxxxxxxx\Steam\steamapps\xxxxxxxxxx\counter-strike source\cstrike\downloads\*.*

6) C:\xxxxxxxxxx\Steam\steamapps\xxxxxxxxxx\counter-strike source\cstrike\materials\temp\*.*

In step 1 to 6 the xxxxxxxxxx stands for the folder you find Steam. In step 4 to 6 the second xxxxxxxxxx stands for your playername.


Also, you can search your registry and see if any login/steam names pop up and you can delete those

Whenever you log into multiple steam accounts I would say.. Also, a program that helps clean up junk as well as COMPLETELY uninstall programs is ccleaner; It is great and I use it on a daily basis. Their website is ccleaner.com and it is FREE

 

Also one more question, is it really REALLY necessary to make a backup folder of my steam folder because i have nearly around 50GB to backup if i do.

EDIT: I stand corrected, i have 61GB to backup. Thats gonna take a hella long time to backup on my PC

 

No it's not but most of the space is from the games so you could just not backup those. But the backup is not needed, just is there incase you happen to mess up
