Battlefield: Bad Company 2 :: Standing up MW2?

Bad Company 2 is being released in one day on the second of March. Apparently this game is going to take over MW2 and represent as the best FPS on console.

I hope it does...i think im getting it tomorrow...ill let you guys know how it is....

 

I've got the beta and it looks great. The multiplayer is realistic for example the sniper class has bullet drops etc..

 

The game is equally visually impressive as it is with the gameplay itself.
Personally, I think a load of MW players are going to hop over to BC2 after they've experienced a taste of it.

 

I downloaded the beta, I am buying the game tomorrow after school.
I will probably never touch MWF2 again.

 

In my opinion BFBC2 is so sloppy theres a certain feeling when you running and when you walk that makes me want to throw my controller, MW2 on the other hand is very controllable and feels nice when your moving, What I think is gonna happen is that everyone is gonna buy BFBC2 and then 1-2 months later they are going to go back to MW2 because BFBC2 doesn't have as much playtime, or weapon customization and general customization like perks and killstreaks, I know I won't waste my money on a one month game.

 

Bought the game yesterday, I am already having much more fun then I did playing COD. The single player is pretty difficult...on normal but the online is awesome. Definitely recommend it.

 

Modern Warfare 2 is Old Hat. They messed up the worst when they nerfed the range and damage of the 1887's. The realism in BC2 is what sets it above mw2 in my eyes. The fact that you can hit reload and then sprint is a plus too. Everyone can spot as well, don't need to rely on the one dude on your team to get a 3 kill streak!

I don't think BF is going to beat MW2 or suck out a large number of the players. But I do think MW2 will need to do some work because BF and in the fall Halo Reach comes out (beta is like May 3rd?_

 

You're trying to compare two completely different types of games.

MW2 is a skilled base game (i.e - No / Quick scoping) where BF2 is based on real life war (i.e Staying alive) it just depends what type of game you enjoy playing.

 

This looks amazing, definitely looks better than Modern Warfare 2.

I thought it was horrible traded it for MW2 today.
I can confirm what that guy said about the movement, it is so bad
i only played 18 hours and got to like rank 15 or so though i will prob play it some more once they update it a bit.

 

Way better than mw2, i can't wait til i get some cash to afford it.

 

I completely agree. i own it. it was one week of playign and back to mw2

 

My friends have all digressed to Battlefield, saying that it is much better, but I do not play on my Xbox as much any more so I have yet to buy it, I may trade in Modern warfare two for it.

 

Don't trade it in, just ask a friend if they will let you borrow it.

 

Looks realy nice, but dont think it will be better as modern warfare 2:embar:

 

It's not close to being better than MW2. But that's just my opinion. It is a lot tougher to get kills, and level up on BFBC2 but, I like the challenge and maybe i will like it better soon. I sold my MW2 for 50 bucks so I'm stuck with BC2.
