Guide to making a custom email address.

    Hello.

    Simple, but (imo) effective guide.

Ever seen those msns that differ from the generic yahoo, live, hotmail, windowslive, etc.

In this guide, I will show you where to obtain such emails and how to verify them.

    The websites:
    Mail.com (variety of emails)
    @Stoned.com
    GMX

For the sake of this guide, I will be using www.Mail.com.

Basically, you go to the homepage located below, and click the "Sign up now" sign.

After clicking sign up now, you will be redirected to a place that looks like this:

Mail.com has a large variety of email domains, and I am not going to list them one by one. You'll need to check it out yourself and find one that defines you. For the sake of this guide, I'm going to use @Null.net.

After you fill out the appropriate fields, you will be redirected to a place that tells your account details. Click on the "You have new mail" picture on the right.

Remember your details, you'll need them for later.

Now you can choose to explore mail.com and there features, but for the sake of this guide I'm going to continue along. You must now go to Passport.net

Go to the highlighted place and click "get started now".

    VERY IMPORTANT.

In the black box, you must enter the FULL EMAIL ADDRESS that you just created. In my case, it would be [email protected].

In the red boxes, you enter the password that you want to use msn with. Note, this done not have to be the same as your e-mail password.

In the green box is your security question. This will be used to help recover your account in case of a lost password.

Click continue. You will then be asked to agree to TOS. Simply type your email in the provided box. Click "I accept". After completing this step, you'll be told that your login credentials have been made.

You can now sign into msn using it.

Sign in with the details you entered on Passport.net. You should get something that looks like:

Notice you cannot change your name, and you will forever be taunted with the (email address is not verified) thing. Unless you verify it of course.

So you go back to mail.com, login to your email account and search for the email sent by "[email protected]" with the subject "confirm your address....". Open it.

Click the link that I highlighted in red. You'll get this.

Congratulations, you can now use full features on your custom MSN.

You can now add people with a unique domain and be able to use the nickname of your choice.

    Hope you enjoyed.
