    Should I Take This Job?

I just randomly applied for some job, because it was like "do you have heaps friends? Then this job is for you". So i was like "eh, i'll apply, see what its about". I applied, i have an interview, and i'm quite confident i would be successful in my interview. I emailed him and asked him for a bit more detail on the role. He replied and told me that i have to sell membership for some clubs. It sounds like if i managed to get people to join, i could make lots of money. But, i really don't know how easy that would be. Looking at the clubs, there is only like one really popular club that is associated with this. I don't think anyone would really care about membership. Here is the detail bit he sent me via email, let me know your opinions:

    "The Barclub Concept

Barclub is a loyalty program that looks after it's members by offering discounts and rewards in partner Bars & Nightclubs around Brisbane, Cairns and soon to be on the Gold Coast.
Members join online to receive their brass membership ID key ring, invites to parties, updates and more!

    Making Sales:

The way you sell these memberships is completely up to you. It does need to be purchased through the website however the more creative you are, the more ways you will discover. Some examples are:

    - Facebook status updates, posts or links. These are great as your customers clan click straight to the join page.

    - Word of mouth. You can talk about the product, your friends can pass it on further also and you will still get commission from anyone who uses your code.

    - Contacting social club presidents of companies, large Uni groups etc. These will be harder but may result in bulk signups. Big earners"

    Should I Take This Job?

If you want a reliable job, no.

    Should I Take This Job?

Well as a concert promoter I can tell you that I don't make much money from that, the entire industry is different, but I wouldn't expect much from it.

It could just be a sidejob dude, do that and find a steady job you can work at that doesnt rely on how many memberships you sell.

    Should I Take This Job?

It sounds like a sleazy job, and I wouldn't like bugging people constantly just to make a little cash.
But if it sounds appealing enough for the money, you might as well give it a try.

    Should I Take This Job?

Take it if you need money and you have no job at this point. Just take the job until you get another job that pays better and you enjoy more.

If your desperate for cash, why not give it a try? You don't have to walk around begging people to join a club, just be a good salesman, and if it not's what you thought it was, then at least you tried.

    Should I Take This Job?

The thing with promotions is that you get more benefits through networking than actual cash, and you become well known. So if you're doing it just for cash I wouldn't suggest you do it.

    Should I Take This Job?

Sounds like you'll have to annoy people, including friends and family. It'd be like a telemarketer IRL. Who wants that following them around. Don't do it unless it's really good pay. Oh yeah and I live in Brisbane too! :D

Go for it if you have great people skills and can sell bullshit easily.
