Your Views On Bullying?

Honestly, I do not believe in "BULLIES" i believe in rotten kids that think they can get away with doing horrible things to others. Thinking they are much better.

In my old middle school, bullying was over exaggerated... I have not been bullied because honestly im not the kind of person to be bullied...

 

Bullying is a pathetic excuse for your own problems.

 

I knew someone would quote me on that haha. You can't stop Bullies...their everywhere, and it gets a lot bigger than the high school bully. There's always going to be adversity, people are ALWAYS going to be different and because of that there will always be bullies. That's why I said the people getting bullied are going to have to step up for what they believe in if that's who they are. I never said it was wrong to be gay, but they are going to take shit from people who don't agree with it because they are "different". People who are nice get shit on, walked over, taken advantage of, and taken for granted. The world is not a nice place, and its up to you to make shit happen. You don't like something you stand up for you're beliefs OR conform. Bullies took the stand. Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying bullies are right in all entirety. Some are extremely racists and very ignorant...but a lot are free thinkers.
"Bullies are just the ones with problems" are just the comforting words from the victim's parents. Now I'm not saying that some of the bullies don't or didn't have a fucked up life...they just learned a little bit earlier about the world and how it turns.

Bullies also weed out the weak minded. If you kill you're self because of some prick bully on you're case day by day, you probably would not survive in the real world. Bullies aren't just in school, although the bullies in school prepare you for the bigger pricks in the outside world. And plus if I were at the point of thinking about taking my own life I would simply stand up for myself...because now I'm not scared to get my ass beat because a couple of seconds ago I contemplated killing myself. Failed suicides are also the work of weak minded citizens.

It's funny if they deserve it for reasons that are within their control (a kid steals from a charity fund, and thus gets made fun of for being a tool).

 

I think bullying is a very serious problem at schools and should be treated as such. I was bullied back in middle school, and trust me, it's not pretty. Being made fun of for things out of your control is very overwhelming and can drive people to do very drastic things.
There's a group that travels across Canada and the US called "Teen Truth" that creates awareness on the severity of bullying and the damage it can cause individuals. They have some videos on YouTube if anyone has the time to watch. They have definitely opened my eyes on the issue of bullying.

 

Bullies dont exist. There's just stronger kids and weaker kids. And I'm talking both physically and mentally. If a kid tries to take advantage of another kid then its the other kid's job to not let him. If hes a weak individual and does let him, then thats his fault. Maybe a contact sport will fix his/her personality deficit.

 

So you're ok with people making fun of other kids with disabilities as long as the other kids say something about it? Because last time I checked I don't think a child with down syndrome would do that.

Bullying is NOT good and it does NOT teach people to stand up for themselves because not everyone is confident enough to do that and when they get bullied and confidence they had in themself, GONE.

I don't bully and I don't get bullied. If someone tried to bully me they would probably regret it because the people that bully are usually pretty pathetic.

I don't stand for bullying one bit it's one thing to mess around with friends calling eachother names but it's one thing to actually pick on a kid to bring him down. Kids have hurt themselves because of bullies wich is actually really sad.

One more thing. When I wasn't in highschool the teachers would always say if you get bullied or something just tell an adult or teacher. That I do not stand for if your getting bullied knock the kid down and THEN tell the teacher. Running from a bully will only make him worse.

Mmhm. We all need bullies in our lives. I'd like a punch in the face to help me learn something that really doesn't matter one bit. Oh yea, I stood up to that bullie. Though he'll still mess with me, I still put up a fight.

I'm not one to be bullied on. Though I can't remember, I'm sure i've been bullied in the past.

If you bully me, i'll most likely not think much of it. Avoid conflict. Though it hasn't come to this yet, but i'll fuck you up if you fuck with me. Most likely not physically.

 

Totaly agree. You guys are just thinking of yourself. People don't always have as much confidence as some people & don't like fighting back. People who get bullied usualy never trust anyone or speak about it to people. Thats really why I don't belive it.

 

Bullying is sick. The bullies should be kicked out of school. They call it entertaining. What's so fucking entertaining about seeing someone cry?

 

I have never really been bullied except for when I was in Primary School. Only incident I had in High School is when some guy tried to choke me but didn't get very far because I like to do something about it. The truth is, at the same time as it is a sad thing to do, if you don't stick up for yourself and do something about it, you will just get bullied more as you are an easy target.

On Topic: Bullying is pointless. The kid's who usually do it are the ones who are not loved at home, and recieve no attention.

It is screwed up that people have to pick on other's to make themselves feel better, but it is society, and it will always be like that.

 

I think that bullying is a bad thing but some people need to harden the fuck up and I am sick of people who aren't involved blowing things out of proportion.

 

It's not right, the way Kids are treated can affect the way they live their life.

 

Most of the theories that I've seen posted shock me quite a bit. I have a hard time deciphering whether or not they're serious opinions.

Here's the deal, as someone who never had a problem fitting in - I can't give a complete honest opinion about it as I never experienced it.

However, you have to remember that there are a wide array of different personalities. For example, some people are dominant and confident and have an easy time standing up for themselves whereas others are pacifists and tend to let things like bullying slide for whatever reason. Does that mean that they should be victims of bullying? No. It doesn't matter how you look at it, bullying is ridiculous and in no way helps the way society functions.

Someone above made a comment saying something like "blah blah, if there was no bullying everyone would be pussies, etc etc" - Honestly, if everyone were pussies at least it would keep depressed teenagers from succumbing to suicide. Don't believe me? Go Google something along the lines of "Depression and bullying" and tell me what you come up with. So fuck your theory.

I've been a loner all my life and I've been completely happy, not bullied, no drama.

 

If I was never bullied I'd probably still be a skinny dweed like I was in 7th grade. You gotta love em and you gotta hate em.
