Runescape's double xp weekend march 12th-15th

I heard about this and thought it was awesome great time to get an easy 99 for half the price,

post what you think about this please

the prices of the items are going to skyrocket unless you manage to buy them now

 

I think it is a great idea as it will help a lot of players in their goals. It also isn't as much of a big deal as people are making it out to be. It's a deminishing experience multiplier over a 10 hour period, so it's nothing too extreme. The only problem I see is certain items skyrocketing for the time being, but as Jagex say, they're true values will level out again.

 

I myself already got 10k dragon bones... waiting for a small price rise

 

That's pretty epic, I'm going to stock up on brawlers gloves/sacred clay gear and see how much xp I can get per hour that weekend

 

LOL!, if you actually read the information posted by Jagex all XP modifiers don't work during event. The greater modifier is dominant and the modifiers do not stack.

Furthermore, buying bones for prayer is stupid as altars and ecto methods do not stack with the bones event. So, buying prayer items is stupid as people are going to realize that it's not worth training prayer.

 

I predict red chinchompas are going to skyrocket like mofo's for that weekend. Nerds are going to be all over them like white on rice.

 

They already are starting to rise and I'm fairly sure you can't even buy them instantly at max at the moment. I think chins and herblore are the only things massively beneficial to anybody doing it on double exp weekend. There are some fairly strict rules put in place in order to get double experience.
