Well, i wana know what you guys think of bullying. Online or in real life.

I think it is sick, i know what it can do (My cousin killed himself). So i don't belive in bullying one bit.

I'm trying to say Group Bullying. Not just one guy picking on one guy.

Eg. 30 People picking on 1 guy

If you're weak enough to give into it then thats your problem. I think bullying in schools is good. It teaches people to stand up for themselves else they get walked all over... which is a valuable lesson.

Most bullies are actually cowards, as everyone said, stand up for yourself and they will usually leave you alone. Really, you just have to ignore it. The fact is that all throughout your life you are going to be bullied at some time, wether it be your co-worker, boss, classmate, or some random person on the internet. You just can't let it get the best of you.

Well, if you're being bullied its usually for a reason. Although it might seem senseless, a "bully" finds a target for a reason.

    Ex:

-You smell (wash you're filthy ass)
-You're weird (Take you're LARE costume off when you go to school)
-You're Fat (put down the crispy creams and twinkies..maybe hit the gym"
-Homo tendencies (if you wanna show em' be prepared to get called out on em')
-Disabilities (sorry nothing witty, the bullies are pricks for this one)
-You're name (thank mom n dad for naming you "Dick")
-You're a dumbfuck (drop the sticks n' pick up a book"
-No friends (if any of the above is you, this is why you have no friends...which will just bring more pain because they will make fun of you for having no friends. A viscous but necessary cycle =).)
    -ETC...

Now I have given a list of reasons why kids get bullied with a remedy for the issue.

Bullies are simply the ones that inspire change. If there were no Bullies, no one would have to stick up for themselves...creating a world of pussies.

So to a very high extent of see no problem with them. I personally would never make fun of someone that has a disability of any kind.

Now if you don't want to "conform"..."stand up" for what you believe in and quite possably take an ass beating. But you see the kids getting bullied usually don't have the balls to do this...I can go on forever lol.

Bullying teaches kids to stand up for themselves. It's bad that some kid would bully another kid, but it's also bad if the victim of the bullying doesn't stand up for themselves.

Let's be realistic. Most of the time smaller kids won't fight someone who is twice their size .

The thing is, you don't have to fight. Might it be just an eloquent use of fancy words to confuse or humiliate the bully or a competition, there are always ways around the stereotypical bully.

I for one just let it go. On the very rare occasion I do run into a "bully", I think one of the following:

    1. They will end up as no one when they grow up.
    2. Their brains are underdeveloped and cannot even use self-control.
    3. They have gone through some hardships in their life that makes them looklike badasses.
    4. They are just insecure little girls on the inside, banging on the closet door.

It's not generally a big deal but I do not let people walk all over me. It certainly serves as an endeavor to test your mental toughness and raises your alertness.

Right because the OP's cousin learned a valuable lesson.
Stop trying to sound profound or different because it only makes you look like an idiot--at least in this case it does

Hm, when I see a kid that is mentally retarded at my school get picked on by a gang of people, would you expect him to stand up for himself?

I was bullied in Middle school, untill I hit weights, and buffed out, and now working to be a bodybuilder. I'll stick up for anyone who can't defend themselves properly. This isn't survival of the finish, this is LIFE, and NOBODY deserves that kind of treatment, unless they want it to come back at them.

I've been able to attend private schools that don't allow it - in any form - for my entire life, so I've never greatly experienced it; but, I do empathize with victims, and think that it's a horrible plague upon our world.

No, it would not create a world of pussies. It would create a word of nicer people, who do not feel the need to pick on others over petty issues. If anything, a world without bullies would be better. If there were no bullies, it would be irrelevant whether someone is a pussy or not, it just wouldn't matter.
Sure, bullies can inspire change, but in a very negative manner. For example, Gok Wan inspires change, but his methods are far more fair and encourage individuals to change because they want to and feel it would make their lives nicer. Not because someone is going to rip them to pieces every day until they do.
As for your list of reasons. Why should anyone be picked on for any of those things (except smelling funny-I agree with you on that front)? It is the choice of the individual as to how they behave and what they do. People shouldn't question that or be mean about it. At the end of the day, bullies are the ones with problems, because they can't deal with people being different to them.

Anyway, in response to the question the original poster asked, of course, bullying is a very bad problem. Personally, I have been bullied quite a lot. Its a really nasty experience. I was at the point of killing myself 2 years ago because of bullying... There is no reason to do it, if you cannot deal with people being individual, then you can go and live in isolation. Don't bring your stupidity and nastiness into other peoples lives. It can mess people up a lot. It can ruin your confidence, your view of life and your view of other people. I don't agree with anyone's reasoning for bullying, it's just plain wrong!

I don't think internet bullying actually exists unless you know the person in real life.

But all in all bullying is a terrible thing.

It depends what kind of bullying it is. I do pick on people at school and make fun of them, nothing too bad though.

They've outlawed bullying in most schools across the U.S. If it's really a problem, talk to a counselor or a principal. Most of them tend to get sent to juvy.
