Help Me with Snowboards...?

Hey, I've had this urge for the last 2-3 years to start Snowboarding. As such, I need some experienced boarders to push me in the right way in terms of equipment, mostly the boards, and bindings and boots.

What I need:

Something durable (durrr). I plan on going down a mountain, hitting a jump here, and there, no half-pipe. So, a board made somewhat for that would be nice.

I don't want to spend TOO much money, can someone give me a price that I can expect to spend for a decent snowboard? I know it depends on the brand.

Anything else that I might need to tell you, just ask.

 

Most hills have rentals, you should try renting equipment before buying, just in case it might not be for you. I've tried both skiing and snowboarding and personally I prefer skiing much more, you might too, you should do rentals and try both out.
