Longest Ban Appeal?

Hey guys, a couple of weeks ago I remembered an account that I had back in '05 which got banned for an offensive name. I decided to log in and send an appeal stating that because of the name system change is it possible to get a name change and get unbanned. Now I sent this appeal off on the 15th so its almost been 2 weeks. Just wondering why this is happening and if any of you have experienced something similar.

 

I think 2 weeks is normal time especially since it's an older account. My longest has been a week and a half and that was for a password recovery.

 

Didn't jagex give all banned accounts a 2nd chance a few months ago?

 

They shouldn't usually take that long. Any account I try and recover takes up to 72 hours to be answered.

Another thought - Are you checking to see if its accepted via 'Track a Recovery' and putting in the correct Tracker ID?

 

Yes this is true however for some reason this account did not get unbanned.

This is a ban appeal, there is no tracker ID.. it just says "Appeal Pending" in account management.

Goddamn a whole month, what the hell. When I sent this appeal out I thought "ah this shoulden't take them too long" as it will surely be accepted. It even states in the rules now that if you have an offensive name they WILL prompt you for a name change. I hope mine dosen't take that long >_< .

My friend was banned and his ban appeal was in for over a year. It ended up failing.

 

Well you've most likely hacked this account by recovering it.

J's ban has been pending for about a month now..
911's ban has been pending for 2 weeks..

The owner of J posted on the forums asking why it's taking so long.
A Mod replied saying it's not his account, and if it is then he has to prove it by telling when it was made, what ISP, ect.. He was caught in the act. So any account recovered in the last 2 months's ban appeal will not be accepted.

 

God damn, I would've given up hope after 2 months.

 

My longest was one day, but it is probably due to it being very old. They're probably just overworked.

 

right now i have been waiting 7 days and 3 days on two 5 year old accounts. not sure why its taking so long but its frustrating.

 

He stopped about that too. The other day he randomly checked it after he quit and It was denied like a week ago.

 

i also got a account i made back in 06 that is a lvl 3. Made it and it got banned 2 hours later for offensive name. Sadly it has 30m on it. Do yall think it has been unbanned. I forgot password tho XD

 

My account got banned for macro like 1 and a half years ago. Initially my appeal was denied. I logged in and saw I had another last chance appeal. Sent it in been appealing for 3 months now.

 

Wow they are some long appeals you guys have had. Maybe posting this gave me some luck as today I logged on to check and what do you know? Unbanned! Yay! .

 

Jagex is slow, give them time. Mine took almost a month one time.

 

still waiting for mine.. terrible. i know it will get denied. its like when you know you failed a test and you want to see you mark but the teacher takes forever.
