Help! What's the best stats for a F2P 1 def pure?

I was thinking:

40 att
HIGH str
43 prayer

And nothing more.. Is it better to have ranged too?

What outfit/weapon should I use?

 

I suggest 85 str. You can lvl it to 99 in time. I don't suggest prayer. No ranged.

You should use full monk robes and rune scimmy with power ammy. Pwn those noobs

Ok the advice I'm about to give you is from personal experience as I've solely played rs for the pure build since 2005. For f2p I suggest 75+ str and 75+ range. The higher the better obviously, but to a point. 99 range and str may sound good but nobody will be willing to fight you. Basically anything between 75-90 is good and make sure you keep your range relative to your strength. Also for f2p stick with 1 prayer, this is extremely important as you'll find the prayer boost 1) isn't worth the combat levels 2) it is actually quite expensive to level these days and most importantly 3) it is EXTREMELY annoying having to recharge your prayer after every single fight.

I'll break it down for you:

- 40/(75-90)/1
- (75-90) range relative to your strength level
- 1 prayer

Equipment:

Amulet of strength
Green chaps
Green vams
Coif
Leather body
Maple shortbow
Team cape (very important whilst fighting higher levels as it allows you to 1 click-attack)
50-80 adamant arrows

Inventory:

Rune 2 hander
Strength potion
26 slots for food (perferably lobsters)

Strategy:

The strategy you're going to use will be quite simple. Range them (Rapid mode) until they're HP bar looks like it's below 20hp then quickly switch to rune 2 hander and go for the ko.

thats probably the best u can get, because mostly u wont pk with mage.
else when u pk with team u can use mage to bind etc.

id go for 40 attack 80 strength 1 prayer. hits hard and people will actually fight you. if you do get prayer i recommend 34 (ultimate strength + superhuman reflexes).

Coif, monk's top, bottoms, green dragon hide chaps and vambraces. Maple shortbow to rune 2h. You can vary those items for the best f2p outfit.

ONLY GET PRAY ONCE YOU HIT 80str... And IF you do, get 31.

 

I had a 40 att 99str 90 range acc.. not that great. tbh just get 40-60 att 99str 40 def and 99 range. no pray is needed

I've decided to go for 40 attack, 31 prayer, and a very high strength level. Maybe I'll train ranged later.

Scimitar/2h
Leather boots
Leather vambraces
Iron full helm
A team cape

Any why/why not should i use an iron kiteshield?

 

I would go to 43 prayer, personally. It doesn't take too terribly long, but the added protect prayers if you fight someone who uses them and Ultimate Strength can boost you max hit by almost 3 in some cases. And if you fight other pures with 1 prayer, you can really piss them off

 

ooh yes, u should get 44 prayer if u do, than train high ranged, 40 att, high str.

It's sad to use but the truth is they own.

I made a few to date SW pures... as much as I hate them they distroy when they have low hp.

40 att
90-99 str
1 def
56-62 Hp (Yes, it's low... Trust me)
13 Prayer
91-99 range.

Normally it's about 57-60 Cb. Don't jump people, you can but then you won't have as much fun, not for me personally.

Range eat 2x, get his hp low... remember 99 range u hit 18's with addy arrows... They will eat, keep ranging then 2h.. you'll have str prayer on and hit 27-29 and it get's you rich.

 

Ranged if Def a Thing to Have

I'd Suggest something Achieveable like...

40 attack 90 strength 40 defence 90 ranged 44 prayer.

Defence is good to have in f2p imo , cause u just do no armour fights with better loots =p
