How to easily cite your resources in a research paper

Most teachers will require you to cite your sources you use in your paper. Some people have a hard time doing this, but it can all be easily done with using a website called EasyBib.

First, go to easybib.com and select what type of source you are using. For this thread, I will use a website source. For my example, I will be using 'this' Kurt Cobain biography website.



Next, you will be on this page:



After you fill out all the information, it should look similar to the following image. Remember, all the information they ask for is not always on the website, and that is O.K.



When you have the information filled in, click "Create Citation" and it will bring you to this screen, with your citation in the correct format.



Good chances are, you probably have more than one source. So when you get the first citation ready to go, you can easily click the following in the image to create another citation.



If you add another citation, Easybib will make it very easy for you by adding the next citation right under your last citation, which would be placed here:



Once you have all your sources cited, copy and paste them in to your report (probably in Microsoft Word).

Remember: All your cited sources go on a different page than your report at the end.

 

I am always a skeptic to these kind of websites, the last time I used one of these on my research paper I got a 4/10 for my works cited.
