Hello everyone, my only computer is broken and I am trying to fix it. Whenever I try to turn it on it says no input signal, but rarely it turns on and then just freezes and doesn't unfreeze any help would be appreciated since it's hard to type on an itouch.
This could be a number of things. Have you done the following; Tested the video card and original computer plug-in for the monitor with two monitors. Plugged another monitor in to see if the monitor was the issue. Made sure no loose or bent pins were the issue. If so, then proceed to the following step as this will most likely be your problem. Unplug everything from your computer and leave it for 24-48 hours, don't touch it. Come back and try it. If the issue still persists, then the computer BIOS battery has most likely run down. So, remove the battery (Usually, a common silver coin size type) from the motherboard. Try to boot up your computer again and if you succeed than just continue to use your computer per normally until you get a replacement of the BIOS battery. Please note that if your try another monitor and it works, than the problem lays within the monitor, a loose cable, loose wire and etc. You COULD fix it yourself but if you aren't experience with that kind of stuff (Wiring and etc.) than it is time for a new monitor. It turns on all the time Now, but every time it turns on it says something about IRGL_NOT_LESS_OR_MORE or something like that. Then at the bottom it says something about a memory dump, this is all displayed on a blue screen.
Did you use Edonkey before this issue occurred? If you had recently installed some new hardware, program or downloaded something on your computer, than remove that and reboot to see if it works. Still having trouble? Read on. Press F8 at the start-up of your computer and load the last known working configuration and this may fix the problem easily. If that doesn't work, stop the system from automatically restarting, so you have time to see the error. Start in safe mode (F8 at start-up). Go to Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Start-up and Recovery. Make sure "Write Event to System Log" is checked and "Automatically Reboot" is NOT checked. After you do that, you'll need to hold your power button in for 10 seconds to do a hard reset whenever the errors happen. When you get the exact error message, follow the steps on this Page. Also check your system event logs in Control Panel-> Administrative Tools. Look for any error messages, specifically ones that talk about .dll files. None of these options work for you? There may be more solutions but there would be the best next two steps to take. 1. You can get your Windows XP disc and place it in your drive. Load it up and do a repair, not a reformat or anything. All of your files will be kept safe and it will repair Windows XP for you if there is anything to be repaired. 2. If the above doesn't work and you have no other solutions, then you can put all of your important files on a back-up disc (This includes programs and etc.) and then put in your Windows XP disc to reformat it. Note: If you need help on repairing or reformatting Windows XP or whatever your operating system is as I don't know what you are running, simply Google it and follow the simple procedure, it's real easy. Please check your Device Manager and make sure all of your devices are running smoothly with no red X's showing. You can get here by going to Start -> Right Click 'My Computer' -> Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager. Tell us if there are any red X's present. Also, this could be the cause of a Virus/Malware so it is best to run a Virus & Malware scan check to clean your computer up and this may fix the issue unless you have already done this step. It could also be smart to run a disc check. The other more likely thing of this issue to be is a hardware issue. Overheating may be the problem and to find out, please use Speed Fan to find out the temperatures and health of your current hardware in your computer. This will be able to tell you if something is overheating or unhealthy. Good luck.
