How to replace a Zippo lighter flint

I'll teach you how to replace a flint in your Zippo lighter.

You'll need a flat head screw driver.

First, take the inside part of the Zippo out of the casing.

Second, un-screw the screw on the bottom of the inside piece.

You'll then have a long spring, the old little flint, and the inside piece.

Take a flint out of the apparatus, and drop it down the hole.

Once you put the new flint down the hole, screw the spring back down and you'll have the finished product.

Have fun with your Zippo :)

How to replace a Zippo lighter flint

Pretty useful guide I guess...I like it. I really need to go buy a Zippo lighter.

Nice pictures to show people what to do, although they are a bit blurry.

Last thing is...where do you get new flints?

How to replace a Zippo lighter flint

I'm sure anywhere you can buy a Zippo they will have them there. They are really cheap (the fluid is also cheap).

You can get them from some newsagents too. (UK)

Trip: Nice guide, interesting topic. No real issues from what I can see.
