He said that the chat system will increase the load on the server since they generate lots of AJAX requests.

 

If it does get accepted, it will be a good improvement. It will stop people being fooled by imposters and reduce scamming.

EDIT: If possible may also have an option to automatically quote the conversation into a post in RaS for the times you are scammed, like you click to quote it and it automatically opens a thread in RaS so it's uneditable.

 

I would support this since it would be awesome to have it like ********s shoutbox..

It's already a good chat. Fuck a shoutbox. It just gives people a reason to not post.
