3rd Party Client News 06/17/2022

So, looks like only RuneLite, HSOD and OSBuddy will be allowed starting 6/24/2022.

Interested to see if the OpenOSRS client and scripts will stay alive...

 

I mean if Jagex is handing out bans for using other clients, I can't see them being active anymore. At least until these devs find a workaround. This reminds me of when Jagex cracked down on Powerbot and you'd basically be banned just for logging in with the client.

 

We'll see how this goes, think they'll just flake like the further cracking down on RWT haha.

I'll continue to use OpenRS on my Ironman and gladly take the 2 week on my main if it comes down to it

 

I think something like this might happen.
Jagex updated their TOS like a year ago with the message that they May see your computer files when you are playing runescape for security and anti-cheat reasons.
So I have a strong feeling they will go hard.

 

LOL, will be fun to witness.

Im botting till the last day we have the "grace period" , and then no more botting for me I guess...

 

im interested to see how this will affect everyone

 

I'll keep everyone in the loop, im botting aggressively on multiple accounts and will continue to.

 

Been botting like an idiot, 6-12 hours per day running the same script each day, no bans yet but lets see what happens this week

 

I wonder if they can even see the diff between Runelite & OpenOSRS

 

i use mobile botting so im safe but i wonder if i can use other ones

 

Alot of people using oprs have been banned, even just logging in for 2 minutes

 

That feels terrible for other clients who have worked with OSRS for years and are now being punished....
It feels like something else is going down with these other clients as well that are being "sponsored" by OSRS

 

Jagex was prepared

 

Both of my accounts using OpenOSRS were banned, but not until I turned up the heat and botted like a pure idiot, over 10 hours per day on both accounts and did not monitor.

They both were temp banned though for macro minor

 

Luckily enough I managed to escape the wave, saw some friends catch a ban tho.

 

I'm even hearing some people using Runelite got banned even though its an approved client. Im in a botting discord and tons of people caught a ban.

Supposedly someone found a way to import non-runelite plugins into runelite, looking forward to learning how to do that.

 

That, combined with launching from jagex client, could be really nice.
