What would it be like to have famous parents (i.e. actors, athletes, etc.).

I was thinking about this and sure it sounds great at face value being able to get just about anything you want, fame, etc. But, doesn't that affect your life in a way that you want to try and live up to their fame and your essentially following in someone's shadow.

What brought it up was someone brought up ASU Football (insert punch line here) and how John Elway's son quit.

Thoughts? Do you agree or disagree with me?

Well, if you don't wanna follow in their footsteps, you really don't have too. I can see where your coming from though. And yes it would be nice because they would probably buy you anything you wanted. Didn't Jay Z get his son a $360k for his 16th birthday? Like damn.

It would be good and bad in ways. Good as in like you said, a lot of cool expensive shit, but on the other hand the poporaitizi (sp) would get fucking annoying. I like my privacy.

I wouldn't want my parents to be famous. Look at Michael Jackson's kids. They get swarmed by paparazzi and he tried to protect them by covering their faces.

I wouldn't want my dad to be like that.

I guess it would be cool because of the monetary gains but that's the only part. You'll never know who likes you for you, or because your dad is rich and famous.

Would I want my parents to be famous? I don't care. If they do something that does make them famous, good.

Only positive aspect of this would be the financial surplus. Outside of that, having famous Part of your being and reputation would be derived simply from having famous parents. Ug.

    pretty sure that was diddy

ot: I think it would be pretty cool to have famous parents but the pressure to be like them or get famous like them could get to them. Like you said with Jack Elway, if he got famous like his dad look at the shoes he'd have to fill. It would be tough but i the advantages outweigh the disadvantages

I reckon it would be pretty cool to have famous parents. Although yous are saying a negative side would be the media, in all honesty in depends how famous you actually are. You would have to be big time famous for your kids to be getting swarmed as they came out of the house etc. So yeah I don't think this would be much of a problem.

Looking at the other side of it, however, you wouldn't have any appreciation for money.
I'd much rather live a poor life and become wealthy in my own ways rather than be a snobby, unappreciative heir.

I would hate to have a jock for a parent. I prefer to be normal because then when I become the coolest guy in the world, the contrast between my upbringing and my success makes me seem even better. Follow?

I would hate to have the weight of the fact that if I made one slip-up, my parents' career(s) might be ruined.

I would not want to be a child of a famous person especially a rich person. Most rich children are spoiled and if you are an elite like millions and millions you would have to go to private boarding school to get away from crowds and all that shit. I would want a wealthy and normal family so I can live my own life not continue some one elses.

Having famous parents would be nice and suck at the same time. Everyone would want to be your "friend" just to take your shit. Upside is, not as much worrying if there is another recession.

I went to private boarding school. Family member was head of one of the biggest diamond wholesale purchasers in New York. Famous in field.
