How to scan for Virus's before downoad

Have you ever had to download a file you weren't sure was clear of virus's, trojens etc. you needed to perform a virus scan but couldn't because it had to downloaded first. Well this is the guide to help.

Step 1

Download Dr.Web at-

Firefox

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/938


Internet Explorer and Opera

http://www.freedrweb.com/

Install it from one of the links and your set to go.


When a link comes up your able to scan it.



Then it'll come up with the details of download. and your able to see if it has any virus's.

simple guide, there wasn't really much you could write on that specific topic.
However most people wouldn't know how to check files which might have potential virus' so this is quite benifical.
