Question

Simple question,i need to know how to make that glowing circle effect like the on in finales entry in the following link - http://www.rune-tips.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=907

I used to know how but i havent gfxed in awhile.

Any help appreciated!

 

I think that's a pen tool. First click paint brush, select your color and the thickness (don't make too thick, it will become thicker). Then click the pen tool. Then at the top-left make sure you select "Path". Make a new layer. Now just make a line going across (this can be tricky). Start of with a point, make another point. Click in the middle (I press alt while doing so), and bend it. Then finish it. After done making the math, right click-- and click "Stroke" make sure its on brush and you click simulate pressure. Click okay. Then right on the layer and click "Blending Options". Then go to outer glow. Mess around with those settings (or pm me for more details), and click okay. Then you can right click where the path is and click "Delete path", that should make that effect your wanting.

its a white line probably made with the pen tool with a pink outer glow on blending options.

 

Well he used the circular marquee tool he told me (he told me how to do it too but i forgot haha) but im assuming you do basically the same thing?

Well you could to the circular thing, you would basically do the same thing. First go to your brush thing and select your color and brush thickness. Then go to your circular marquee and make a circle. Then go to EDIT -> STROKE and click brush, simulate pressure and click okay. A circular marquee may look neater, but it will only allow you to make a circle, nothing else.
